Georgia Steel leaves Dubai for Maldives as she brands Covid-19 pandemic 'dull'
Georgia Steel has jetted out of Dubai to the Maldives as she labelled the Covid-19 pandemic as “very dull”.
The Love Island bombshell was joined on her jet-setter lifestyle by her fellow islander Joanna Chimonides.
Speaking in her defence, the influencer said the pair had their trip planned “for ages” but she promised to bring her followers some “light” during the coronavirus pandemic.
Georgia gave fans a sneak peak of their luxurious hotel Velassaru Maldives on her Instagram stories.
Her gorgeous sea view room boasted of a balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the waves.
Inside the Love Island stars were presented with a bottle of prosecco and an array of snacks following their flight.
She wrote: “Me and Jo have planned this trip for ages and actually can’t believe we are still able to work with one of the best resorts in Maldives during the current circumstances.
“We are so grateful and feel lucky that our job enables us to experience things like this.”
Georgia also thanked her followers as she reiterated she wouldn’t have been able to build her influencer career.
She added: “We hope to bring you guys a little bit of light during a very dull time. Without you guys we wouldn’t be here, so thank you.”
Her Instagram has been littered with picture-perfect holiday snaps, enough to drive her fans wild with jealousy.
Georgia went on about feeling “so lucky” to be able to jet off on holiday while the UK has been plunged into its third national lockdown since the coronavirus pandemic swept the globe.
She added: “I feel so lucky to be able to travel with my job at the moment. Grateful I’ve been given the opportunity to work and make memories that are going to last me a lifetime. I thank the universe every single day.”
Georgia and Jo had been lapping up a life of luxury at the five-star Jumeirah Village Hotel in Dubai.
It’s been incredibly extravagant as the influencers were in Dubai for two weeks over Christmas and New Year.
The Love Island stars have been warmed by the kisses of the winter sun’s rays.
They posed up a storm on yachts and soaked up the sun in their bikinis by the pool.
They were among a whole galaxy of stars who escaped the UK’s strict national lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic.
