‘Teen Mom 2’ Reunion: Leah Messer’s Exes Corey Simms & Jeremy Calvert Face Off After Fallout
After promising to appear at this season’s reunion, following Jeremy’s onscreen diss last year, Leah Messer’s ex Corey Simms followed through during the Jan. 5 episode of ‘Teen Mom 2’.
Leah Messer‘s ex-lovers, Jeremy Calvert and Corey Simms, finally came face-to-face during the Jan. 5 Teen Mom 2 reunion special, following their nasty feud that played out on both TV and social media. After Jeremy slammed Corey during last year’s reunion, during which Jeremy said Corey never went to daughter Ali’s doctor’s appointments, Corey went off on Twitter and criticized MTV for not allowing him to call into the reunion to defend himself.
“I tweeted to the whole nation that I would be here this year, that’s why I’m here,” Corey said as he chuckled on this week’s new episode. And then, when he was asked how he reacted to Jeremy’s diss last year, Corey said he “really overreacted to the whole situation” and “wasted too much energy on it.” But he also noted: “At the time, I was very angry. I didn’t have a chance to stick up for [my wife] Miranda or myself, so that struck a nerve.”

Fortunately for Corey — and Leah — Jeremy confessed that he regretted what he had said. “Yeah, I overstepped my boundaries,” he told everyone. “I reached out to Corey three weeks ago and we had a pretty decent conversation over the phone. I apologize for saying what I said.”
In other reunion news, Chelsea Houska finally told her co-stars that she wouldn’t be returning to the show next season, and while Leah seemed okay with her decision, Kailyn Lowry feared the show would have a “weird” dynamic without Chelsea. Obviously, Kailyn still dislikes Briana DeJesus. So much so that when reunion host Dr. Drew asked them how they felt about being on a video call together, Kailyn refused to discuss it.

And speaking of Briana, just a minute or two after her ex, Devoin Austin, showed up, she stormed off stage. She didn’t like that Dr. Drew agreed with Devoin when Devoin said Briana should consider their differences in salary when coming up with financial expectations for him in regards to raising their daughter, Nova. Also — is it just us or do you love how Nessa and Dr. Drew keep pronouncing Devoin’s name correctly, while Briana and her family continue to pretend like they don’t know how to say it right?
Finally, Jade Cline was joined by on-again/off-again lover Sean, and they discussed the current state of their relationship. Apparently, they’re still hooking up and he doesn’t want her to date anyone else, but she refuses to label their present-day romance. Oh yeah, and when Dr. Drew suggested airing some secret video of Sean allegedly planting drugs in Jade’s mom’s room, Jade and Sean refused to discuss it, so no one ever really talked about it. But producers did show it, so viewers got to see it. It wasn’t clear what Sean was doing in the video, but he could be seen walking into Jade’s mom’s room and placing something on an end stand before hurrying out of the camera’s viewpoint.
