Currawongs are one of Australia’s favourite birds, so it shouldn’t too surprising one could enjoy a day at the pub.
Shannon Bourke was enjoying a beer on Christmas Day when a currawong joined him and began drinking out of his schooner glass.
A video of the curious currawong sitting on a phone while it sipped beer was uploaded to Instagram on December 3.

‘Oh my god, he’s drinking beer!’, said Mr Bourke.
After one sip, the bird appeared to enjoy it as it was filmed taking a few more.
‘Are you f**king serious?
In a hilarious attempt, the man offered the bird another alcoholic beverage it might enjoy.
‘Do you want to try a Smirnoff Black? It’s better than beer,’ he joked.
‘Oh my god, he’s drinking beer!’ The man, Shannon Bourke, is in disbelief of what is happening in front of his eyes
The bird could be seen contemplating the drink before returning back to his trusty beer.
‘Maybe me and you should hang out more often,’ said Mr Bourke.
He can be heard telling the bird to slow down when it began to take bigger sips.
‘Be careful, you’ll get a hangover on Christmas Day.’
