Amanda Holden gets emotional as she shares first look at Sheridan Smith duet

Amanda Holden has treated her admirers to a first glimpse at her new cover of I Know You So Well after teaming up with Sheridan Smith for the emotional debut.

The Britain’s Got Talent star has swapped her judging duties to show off her incredible vocal skills in the powerful new track which has already raked in rave reviews.

Taking to Instagram on Friday morning, Amanda, 49, shared a sneak peek at the behind-the-scenes making of the chart-topping single.

Alongside a video of herself and Sheridan getting down to business in the studio, the Heart Radio presenter gushed that she had made a friend for life thanks to her latest project.

“This was one of the first ever singles I ever bought (I gave it to my mum, who loved the song!).

“Thank you @sheridansmithster, it was wonderful to share this moment with you, every performance you give is so powerful and honest.

The telly star also lifted the lid on what it meant to work with Sheridan on her breakfast show with Jamie Theakston on Friday.

Amanda was overjoyed to be able to perform with Sheridan

Amanda admitted that she had loved Sheridan for years, and that it was a complete dream come true to be able to work alongside such an incredible artist.

After duetting on the classic hit, the pair have struck up a close friendship – which Amanda couldn’t be anymore grateful for.

“I got a great friendship out of this song in Sheridan Smith.

“I’d loved her for years and we’ve always hugged when we met but we didn’t know each other.”

She continued: “I really wanted her to duet with me on I Know Him So Well so I asked David Walliams for her number.

“She was heavily pregnant but she couldn’t have been nicer or more enthusiastic when I called her and the final result is better than I even imagined.”
