Ravir Singh is preparing to hit the dance floor on the 2020 series of Strictly Come Dancing.
And despite the exciting opportunity to cha cha cha on the much-loved show with a hunky professional dancer, the Good Morning Britain host, 43, has told that as a single mum she feels guilty.
The GMB journalist shares an eight-year-old son called Tushaan with ex-husband Ranjeet Singh Dehal and says that being a busy working parent leads to her struggling with “an enormous amount of guilt.”
Ranvir has shared that she often becomes emotional as she cannot be present when Tushaan leaves the house for school in the mornings and she worries about what her son thinks about her being absent.
She told Woman and Home magazine: “It’s hard work being a working single parent.”
“I struggle with an enormous amount of guilt with my son and not being there when he goes to school.
“We’re very attached to one another because it’s just me and him. I do get quite tearful sometimes and I worry he’s going to hate me when he grows up because I was never there.”
Ranvir added that she is hopeful that when Tashaan is older and moves to secondary school that she can “be there for him more” by being “more selective” with “decisions about work.”
Ranvir made a shocking confession about the end of her marriage during a debate on GMB, back in April last year.
She told that after concerns grew she made the decision to snoop on her husband’s mobile – and made a devastating discovery that would turn her world upside down.
During a chat on whether you should check your partner’s phone, Ranvir dropped a major hint as to why she had split from her husband.
“I have looked at it once,” admitted Ranvir, who was then questioned by co-host Ben Shephard as to whether that was why she was no longer with Ranjeet.
“I can’t answer that question,” explained Ranvir, but she went on to give more intimate details into her marriage woes.
Looking uncomfortable, the GMB presenter gave advice to viewers while hinting at her own personal ordeal.
“But can I say I have always thought that if you ever feel you need to do that then the relationship is over because you obviously don’t trust that person,” she explained.
Ranvir was then asked if she found anything incriminating while snooping through her husband’s phone.
“I found something that needed addressing,” she cryptically replied.
Giving a further warning to viewers going through a similar situation, Ranvir added: “So I would say you think you don’t need to do it until you do.”
