Kim Kardashian ‘destroyed her romance with Nick Cannon by lying about sex tape’

As the Kardashian era comes to an end following the announcement that KUWTK has been cancelled, unearthed footage has revealed how Kim allegedly lied to her ex about the existence of the sex tape that shot her to mega fame.
Kim Kardashian, who made the whole family famous, has had quite the ride down relationship road.
From NFL megastars to rappers, Kim has an extensive list of exes.
She was relatively unknown in the mid-noughties and was usually seen hanging around her much more famous friend Paris Hilton.
But that all changed with she struck a relationship with Ray J, who she dated from 2003 to 2006.
In 2007, a sex tape she’d made with her by then ex-boyfriend Ray that would change the course of her life was leaked.
It was released by porn company Vivid Entertainment who said they purchased the tape from a “third party” for $1million.
Kim sued the firm for invasion of privacy and for the profits and ownership of the tape, but eventually agreed to a $5million settlement.
There is an enduring conspiracy theory that Kim’s momage Kris Jenner was the one who leaked the tape, but this has always been denied.
The first episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians aired just a few months later.
Kim had been dating comedian Nick Cannon from September 2006 to January 2007 and they split up just before her sex tape with Ray J leaked.
Mariah Carey’s ex previously claimed it was the tape that led to their break up.
In unearthed footage from a 2012 interview, Nick Cannon revealed he dumped Kim after she “lied” to him about the existence of her sex tape.
Speaking on The Howard Stern Show all those years ago, he explained: “This was my issue. We talked about this tape… And she told me there was no tape.
“If she might have been honest with me I might have tried to hold her down and be like ‘That was before me’ because she is a great girl.”
Despite calling Kim “one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet” Nick explained that he couldn’t forgive her for denying the tape existed.
“She’s actually one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. But the fact that she lied and told me that there was no tape?” he confessed at the time.
Nick even revealed he suspected that Kim might have had something to do with the tape’s release.
“And I still think she might have even had a part to play with [its release],” he said.
Kim has always claimed she was left “devastated” by the sex tape leak, but there’s no denying she would not be where she is today without it.
Conspiracy theories have even alleged her mum Kris struck a deal for the leak, with Kim receiving a hefty $250,000 to $500,000 advance.
The Kardashians have always staunchly denies the claims.
