Axed Soccer Saturday trio Le Tissier, Thompson and Nicholas launch new show

Axed Soccer Saturday trio Phil Thompson, Charlie Nicholas and Matt Le Tissier are already back in work.
The three stalwarts of Sky Sports regular 3pm show were given their marching orders on the eve of the Premier League season.
But they aren’t resting on their laurels and have started a Soccer Saturday spin off with Paddy Power.
Appropriately named “Score Saturday” the trio work with anchor Alan Curbishley, although with Sky’s hefty resources.
It means, rather than a swanky studio, they film it in Nicholas’ front room on a dated camcorder which Le Tissier claims is older than Thommo.
The first problem they run it to is being unable to watch 3pm kick-offs, but Thompson is confident he has the answer – illegal streams.
Le Tissier is reluctant amid fears he will be tracked by the government.
Nevertheless, having failed to come up with an alternatives, they pursue the idea but it is quickly riddled with problems.
Thompson is constantly being told there are hot singles in his area dying to meet him while Le Tissier is struggling with buffering issues.
The Southampton legend demands they revert to Soccer Saturday to find out how his beloved Saints are doing.
All three of the former Sky pundits are also seen rocking suits up top with dodgy trousers or underwear.
Curbishley though takes a call late in the day which may offer the trio a route back into the game.
The former Charlton and West Ham boss receives an offer from Qatar which will be followed up by a Zoom interview.
A pun possibly inspired by Richard Keys and Andy Gray who were sacked in 2011 for “unacceptable and offensive behaviour”.
They have since got jobs with beIN Sports.
