Jacqueline Jossa had the same mixed emotions as every other mum with school aged children across the country today.
The ex-EastEnders star, 27, admitted she was in tears when her eldest daughter Ella, five, went back to primary school on Monday morning.
Taking to her Instagram account, Jacqueline shared a series of pictures of Ella, who she shares with her husband Dan Osborne, as the little girl prepared for her first day in year one.
Her first snap was one of Jac cuddling Ella proudly while the school girl sported a nervous grin while wearing a blue summer dress and new coat.
The second photo was of Dan with one arm around Ella as he held on to their younger daughter Mia, two.
Next was one of Ella on her own as she beamed for the camera.
After that was a picture of Mia and her little sister posing together.
The fifth one was of Jacqueline and Ella at home before they left for the school run.
Last but not least was one of Ella standing in front of a plain white wall while her proud mum was behind the camera.
In the caption Jacqueline admitted it had been an emotional morning for the family.
She wrote: “Year 1 we are ready for you!
“I am so proud of her. Golly gosh!
“It’s so hard to let her go, we have had such a lovely time all together as a family, we needed this time all together and it’s been amazing.
“Ella has been so brilliant during the whole of lockdown and really grown, she’s so much braver, stronger and confident.
“She was ready for today.
“Mia had a little cry because she doesn’t ever have to say goodbye to her sister, usually where Ella goes, Mia goes.
“That breaks my heart a little.
“Mummy and daddy had a little tear in their eye, so proud!!!!!
“We love you Ella, it’s different in the house now and I can’t wait to pick you up.”
