Adele ‘s bikini picture has brought her a lot of attention she probably wasn’t expecting, including putting her firmly on the radar of Tom Hanks’ son Chet.
The rapper, 30, very publicly reached out to Adele after seeing a picture of her showing off her incredible 7-stone weight loss in a Jamaican flag bikini.
Taking to Instagram, Chet posted a video of himself sitting in the car and singing along to Adele’s song Set Fire To The Rain.
Chet, the son of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, impersonated a Jamaican accent as he told Adele just how great he thinks she looks in her new picture.
As the video ended, he told the singer, 32, to slide into his DMs.
He captioned the clip : “PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ADELE HIT MY LINE ASAP !!!!!!!!!!!! I NEED TO TALK TO HER ABOUT SOMETHING”
He added a string of Jamaican flags to his post.
Adele was accused of cultural appropriation after posting the picture to commemorate the day that would have been the Notting Hill Carnival.
She looked sensational in the picture, revealing her toned torso and flat tummy in the bikini top and leggings.
“Happy what would be Notting Hill Carnival my beloved London,” she captioned it.
After she was met with backlash for her bikini top and wearing her hair in Bantu knots, a number of celebrities came forward to support her.
Adele later poked fun at the uproar she’d accidentally caused on social media.
She posted: “Wah Gwaan! Yow gyal, yuh look good enuh.”
Naomi Campbell was among those to back Adele after the picture caused a storm.
The model, whose mother was born in Jamaica, commented on Adele’s snap with love hearts and Jamaican flags, clearly giving it her seal of approval.
X Factor star Alexandra Burke said: “I see the pic. She looks hot. She’s obviously been working on her body, that for me is a big deal. She’s looking good.
“As a Jamaican girl myself, my girl has grown up in black culture. People forget she’s from Tottenham. She probably eats jerk chicken all the time like all of us.
“All I’m saying is the girl looked good, leave her. Allow her man. If Popcaan is going to endorse it and say yes my girl you’re wearing the flag and you’re wearing it well. Let her live her best life, leave her alone. We love Adele.”
