It’s not looks or a head for business that have helped Alexa Chung carve out a successful career as a model and designer – it is her ability to stand on one leg for seven hours.
Alexa has worked for top fashion houses such as Chanel, but she started out in shoots for teenage magazines and says: ‘I ended up being booked consistently because I would do whatever – jump in an ice bath or stand on a bed on one leg for seven hours.’
I bet she can do a great flamingo impression!

But there is some good news for traditionalists in blazers and ties – sandals, flip-flops and sportswear are still banned.

‘I just want to apologise to a lot of people if I was ever offensive to them,’ says the man who has snapped everyone from David Bowie to Kate Moss.
‘I’ve been a bit of a d***.’
