Katie Price surrounds herself with family as she recovers from foot operation

Katie Price is surrounding herself with family as she continues to recover from her life-changing foot surgery.
The former glamour model, 42, joined her mother Amy Price and little sister Sophie for a family weekend in West Sussex.
Determined to take doctors’ advice of resting her feet and staying in bed, Katie dramatically quit social media after after fears her feet have become infected.
Her weekend with family was “just what the doctor ordered” according to a source close to the mum-of-five.
The insider told Sun Online : “Kate has had a really hard few weeks. Injuring her feet was bad enough. But then she got the diagnosis and had to go through the operation. Recovering has been really hard and she knows it is going to be a long road.”

The source went on: “This weekend has been a step back in the right direction. Surrounding herself with her nearest and dearest is exactly what she has needed.
“They are all rallying round and making sure Katie is OK.”
The source added that the docs are keeping a watchful eye on Katie, even when she’s not in the hospital.
The insider added: “She says the doctors are probably keeping an eye on her social media because they keep reminding her to take things easy and not overdo it. But Katie will be listening as she just wants to recover as fast as she can.”

While Katie has disappeared from Instagram, Sophie shared a string of snaps from their girly break to her own account over the weekend.
She posted a group shot of the three of them during their trip.

Katie had a huge grin on her face as mum Amy stood in the middle of the two sisters.
Amy is terminally ill with a lung condition but she appeared to be in high spirits in the video.
It comes after Katie announced she would be stepping out of the spotlight to give herself a chance to heal.
The mum-of-five broke both of her feet during a recent holiday in Turkey.

In a statement posted to Instagram, she said: “Katie is taking some time out of the media spotlight.
“Her family and doctors have told Katie that she must rest in order to heal.
“Katie wants to thank everyone for their ongoing support and will be back when she feels ready.”
