[ad_1]
A maskless white woman was filmed being sarcastically applauded by passengers aboard a Spirit Airlines flights as she was escorted from the plane, an incident that she screamed was ‘racism at its best’.
The woman was removed from the flight by airport police alongside her daughter, with the pair being dubbed ‘Karen’ and ‘Karenette’ by viewers online.
It’s currently unclear why the mother and daughter were removed, however in the video neither of them are wearing masks.
Spirit have mandated that all passengers must wear masks or face coverings at all times during flights.
The older woman appears to have a mask secured around her wrist, though both she and her daughter are both completely maskless as they are forced off the plane by officers.

The woman, dubbed ‘Karen’ online, was removed from the Spirit Airlines flight by airport police alongside her daughter, now known as ‘Karenette’
The footage was first uploaded to the video-sharing app TikTok by a user named Carley Golembeskiz, of Hoboken, New Jersey. The post offers no information about when or where the incident took place.
In the video, the woman can be seen being escorted from the plane by authorities while a rapturous applause breaks out among her fellow passengers.
The woman begins to sarcastically clap along, slowing banging her hands together and even yelling ‘woo!’ as a police officer follows her close behind.
But before stepping off the plane, the woman offers the packed flight some truly bizarre parting words.
Leaning around Perspex screen, the woman, who is white, yells out ‘racism at its best’ to those clapping at her – who, from the footage, also appear to be mostly white.
The woman then notices someone filming her and confronts the passenger. ‘Oh wow, you’re really videotaping it?’ she tells a woman sitting two rows back from the exit. ‘You don’t even know what’s going on here and you’re videotaping it?’
As she finally exits the plane, one of the passengers heckles her by calling out ‘b***h!’

The woman’s daughter, who is still on the flight and involved in her own confrontation with security, then attempts to defend her mother, telling the heckling passenger ‘don’t talk to my mother like that’.
The daughter, who is maskless, walks over to where the passenger is sitting before being shoved by a cop to urge her to carry on towards the exit.
Someone can be heard telling her ‘Oh my god, just go’ before she finally leaves.
The video has since been viewed more than 2.4 million times on TikTok.
Golembeskiz, who has not yet returned a DailyMail.com request for comment, uploaded the clip with the caption ‘It’s the entitlement for me’.
The majority of US airlines have mandated that all passengers must wear masks or face coverings at all times during flights, or they will be removed and in some cases banned from the airline in future.
Some airlines, such as Spirit and United, have even specified that passengers must wear masks throughout airport terminals, in lounges, and at ticket counters or they won’t be permitted to fly.

The mother and daughter in Golembeskiz’s clip have fallen victim to Karenhood on TikTok, a pejorative slang term for white women displaying unjustified public displays of anger or entitlement.
‘And here we have…the Karen and baby Karen in their natural habitat,’ wrote viewer Jessica Craggy. ‘Notice how they display their primal Karen behavior and Express Karen vocals…’
‘Spirit Airlines always has the tea,’ remarked another.
The officers were praised by viewers for swiftly removing the dissenting mother and daughter, with one TikTok user joking, ‘This is the best cops have looked all year.’
