Wonder Woman 1984 full trailer premieres at DC FanDome with Lynda Carter in attendance

Kristen Wiig’s villain Cheetah made her first full appearance in the new Wonder Woman 1984 trailer that was released Saturday at the DC FanDome.
Gal Gadot, 35, joined her costars Chris Pine, 39, Wiig, 47, and Pedro Pascal, 45, for a panel discussion on Saturday at the DC FanDome event that also featured the director Patty Jenkins, 49.
The panel also featured a special guest appearance by Lynda Carter, 69, who brought the iconic character to life on television in the 1970s.

The trailer opens with a short flashback to Diana’s childhood that shows her athletic prowess, as a woman’s voice says, ‘One day, your time will come, Diana… and everything will be different.
There’s a quick cut as she whips her lasso into the sky and takes off, flying through a raging storm by lassoing lightning bolts.
Things take a sinister turn when Maxwell Lord (Pascal) commandeers television broadcasts in 1984.
‘Citizens of the world, I am here to change you life,’ he says on screens everywhere.
‘Anything you want, anything you dream of, you can have it,’ he continues.

‘You look like you’ve seen a ghost,’ he says before they embrace.
He marvels over how she hasn’t aged, though it’s not explained how he’s made his way to 1984 or why he’s the same age.
At another high-end party, Wiig makes her first appearance as Barbara Ann Minerva, later to be the villain Cheetah.
‘I don’t want to be like anyone,’ she says in voiceover. ‘I want to be an apex predator.
‘You’ve always had everything while people like me had nothing,’ she says again, seemingly directing it to Diana.

The trailer was unveiled at the DC FanDome, where Lynda Carter surprised everyone by appearing half-way through.
Jenkins, who was as surprised to see her as the rest of the cast, called her ‘the reason we’re all here.’
The actress beamed as she greeted the others and flashed a ‘W’ sign for Wonder Woman with her hands.

Venus Williams also made a surprise appearance to ask if Wonder Woman and Cheetah could ‘ever put aside their differences and team up for doubles.’
