There has been a heat wave this week in Southern California that has residents taking to the outdoors.

And on Tuesday Extra TV co-host Jennifer Lahmers brought some heat of her own as she sizzled in a black bikini by the beach in Santa Monica. 

Posting a series of photos to Instagram, the 36-year-old Emmy nominated journalist sent tongues wagging as she frolicked in the ocean after playing a round of volleyball. The star also shared some images from the beach as she captioned the post, ‘Hello heatwave!! Do I have to get out of the water?’

The Ohio native who recently celebrated her first ‘LAnniversary’ – one year in Los Angeles – made the best of her residency here by meeting up with friends for a quintessential California moment at the beach. 

Lahmers wrapped her lower half in a colorful sarong as she indulged in a game of volleyball with some pals before jumping in the water to beat the heat. 

She rocked a triple-strapped black bustier top, displaying a hint of underboob as she showed off her her glistening abs and toned arms. 

The black high-rise bottoms hit just low enough to display her slim waist and perfectly tanned body.

As someone who makes a living being on camera, it is no surprise that Jennifer has kept her body in tip-top shape.

The stunning brunette served up a more glamorous beach look, wearing a bit of eye makeup and flashing a fresh white manicure. Her long tresses were perfectly styled into beach waves as she enjoyed a fun weekday outing.

Lahmers started her career as a TV news anchor in Jackson, Tennessee upon graduating from journalism school at Ohio University.

She eventually moved to New York to work for a larger station before jetting off to Los Angeles in 2019 to work as a correspondent for Extra with Billy Bush. 

Last year she told Times Reporter that she lucked into her job: ‘The show’s senior executive producer, Lisa Gregorisch-Dempsey, was visiting New York and saw one of my “Jen at Work” pieces back when I was working at Fox 5. 

‘I caught her attention and she messaged me on Facebook asking what my situation was and if I would consider flying to Los Angeles to meet the team at Extra. Of course I was thrilled and hopped on the first available flight. The rest is history.’
