Narayan Murthy : GDP worst down after independence, Government should be Serious to improve economy
Narayan Murthy said that global GDP has gone down. Global trade is sinking. Global travel is almost over.
NR Narayana Murthy, one of the founders of Infosys, has said that the economy will be in the worst state after independence in the current financial year. He says that the biggest decline in GDP can be seen after independence. Therefore, steps should be taken as soon as possible to handle this. Murthy said that at least five per cent decline in GDP of the country is being estimated. We can see the biggest GDP decline since 1947.

Five to ten percent decline in global GDP
Narayan Murthy said that global GDP has gone down. Global trade is sinking. Global travel is almost over. In such a situation, global GDP is expected to fall by five to 10 percent. Murthy said that from the very first day of the lockdown at the national level, he has been of the view that people have to be ready to live life with the corona virus. There are three reasons for this- First- there is no medicine for it, second there is no cure for corona virus and third economy cannot be stopped. The first possible vaccine for this pandemic is expected to come from Oxford University. This vaccine will be available in the country within six to nine months.
He said that a system should be developed in which every sector of the country’s economy can work with full potential. Narayanamu was attending a seminar on ‘Leadership of India’s Digital Revolution’ in Bengaluru. The discussion was conducted through video conferencing under the 16th edition of the Institute of Engineering and Technology’s ‘India Digital Convergence’.
