Question: How did the idea of acting come in your mind?
Answer: – I never thought that I would ever act, but when the opportunity came, I thought that I would go ahead and see what the experience is like. There is definitely something to be learned in every field, a lot of new and exciting learning will be found in that too, and then you have stepped up.
Question: – After becoming an IAS officer, an impression will be made in the society, so will you do similar roles in films and web series too?
Answer: – I have not given much thought to my image yet. But I like characters who can leave a positive impact on the audience and give a good message to the society. The role in Delhi Crime 2 will be similar to this, which will also give a social message.
Question: – How did you get the opportunity to work in Delhi Crime 2?
Answer: – Casting director Mukesh Chhabraji is my old friend in Delhi. Once I went to Mumbai for official work and went to his office to meet him. There was a team of Delhi Crime 2. If those people wanted information about the Delhi administration, then Mukeshji introduced them to me. I told him many things related to Delhi Police and Administration. When the meeting was over, one of them asked me about acting. He said that we should play a young IAS officer in our web series, if you do this role yourself, then the character will look real. It was a completely new world for me. I thought yes, let’s get a chance to learn something new, and I agreed.

Question: – Do you think that you will be able to find time between duty and shooting?
Answer: At the moment, I will be able to give as much time to the acting as I can, because for me it is my job first, which I always want to do in the service of the country.
Question: – As an IAS officer, how are you dealing with the loss of people due to this epidemic?
Answer – I am fully discharging the responsibilities given to me by the government. Also, I am personally trying to help people as much as possible. Netflix and I have arranged the salary of the Daily Wagers of our Delhi Crime team as they were the most affected due to non-shooting during lockdown.
Abhishek Singh told that he had heard about the Delhi Crime web series but had never seen it. Abhishek has also recently worked in a short film ‘Char Fifteen’. It won several awards and Disney is doing well on Hotstar. Apart from this, Abhishek is being talked to some prominent filmmakers on the topic of social governance.
Abhishek Singh gave this answer on the question of continuing acting in future. He said- ‘I believe that acting and cinema are areas where you can influence many people simultaneously. If we make a film with a visionary vision such as Padman or Tare Zameen, then you raise the issues of society and make a healthy discussion topic, which removes many harmful perceptions and evils of society. Governments also try to do the same. If I get a chance in films being made on this kind of social theme, then I would definitely like to.
In this difficult time, the IAS officer has appealed to the people to support each other. He said- ‘Stay with love as much as possible at this time, don’t pay attention to rumors, keep your food and well and be mentally happy. Remember that we will all be together only then we will come out of this situation, no one can come out alone. Therefore, the most important thing is to stay organized.
