CP V. Ravinder says that the main accused has been identified as Sanjay Kumar Jha, one from Bihar, who, with the help of three others, killed 9 people and dumped their dead bodies in a farm well. Sanjay killed a laborer with the help of Yakub, Mohan and Mankos of Bihar.
According to the police, Sanjay killed a neighboring Bengali migrant family and two other Bihari migrants. Last week, on Wednesday night, everyone was poisoned at a birthday party organized by Maqsood, the head of the Bengali family. Later all 9 bodies were dumped in the well located in the premises of Supriya Cold Storage.
Sanjay Kumar Jha had an illicit relationship with Maqsood’s daughter Bushra, who was divorced and the mother of a 3-year-old child, but in the recent past, Bushra had intermingled with two other Bihari youths, Sriram Kumar and Shyam Kumar, who belonged to Maqsood. Used to work as well.
