Delhi: Wife beaten to death in front of children on suspicion of character
On Sunday afternoon, all the family members were present at home. Meanwhile, Aftab had a fight with Syama. It is alleged that Aftab started beating Syama badly in front of small children. After this, the accused picked up and slammed Syama. When Syma fainted, the accused strangled her to death.
In Harsha Vihar, Delhi, a man beat his wife severely with the first cylinder. Later he picked him up and slammed it. After this, the accused strangled him and ruthlessly killed him. The name of the deceased was Syama. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took Syama’s body in possession and kept it safe in the GTB Hospital mortuary for post-mortem. The police have registered a case of murder and started raiding in search of accused husband Aftab.
According to the information, Syama lived with her family in a rented house in Saboli, Harsha Vihar. She has four children from her first husband Bablu in the family. Bablu died in a road accident. After this, a year and a half ago, Syma got married to a person named Aftab. Aftab used to work as a laborer.
It is alleged that after the death of Bablu, several lakhs of rupees were received by Syama as compensation. It was because of that that Aftab married her. Since marriage, Aftab used to doubt his wife’s character . Both used to fight on this matter.

At the time Aftab carried out the crime , Sohail and Salman, sons of the first wife, were at home. Both brothers tried hard to stop their father but he did not accept one of the children. The children kept crying and shouting but he did not listen to one and kept on attacking his wife. Once, in anger, Aftab picked up his son Sohail and slammed it. He did not get hurt due to falling on the bed. When he saw that the mother stopped speaking, she started shouting loudly. When the landlord reached and informed the police about the incident, Aftab escaped from the spot.
