Three people, including two sadhus, were beaten to death by a mob in a village in Palghar district of Maharashtra. Police have detained 101 people in this case.

Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, the brutality with which mob lynching occurred in Palghar is an embarrassment to humanity. I demand a high-level inquiry. Strict action should be taken as soon as possible.

Let the villagers do mob lynching of these three people when they were going towards Nashik. One of them was a driver, while there were two sadhus who are said to be residents of Mumbai. The deceased have been identified as Sushilgiri Maharaj, Nilesh Telgade and Jayesh Telgade.

According to the information, in the tribal village of Dabhadi Khanvel Road in Palghar district, around 200 people had stoned all three of them as robbers and started stopping their vehicles. When these people stopped their vehicle, the mob took them off the vehicle and started beating them with sticks and rods.
When the villagers threw stones at them and tried to stop the vehicle, the driver informed the police about it. On this information, the police team immediately reached the spot and tried to stop the villagers. However, the crowd was so fierce that they even attacked the police. Police vehicles were also damaged in this attack.
Apart from the officials of the Casa police station, a senior police officer of the district was also injured in the attack by the villagers. In all, five policemen were injured in this incident. At the same time, two sadhus and a driver died on the spot in this incident.
