Air India has stopped booking tickets for all flights following the advice of the aviation minister. Company officials gave information about this. Union Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Saturday advised the airlines to start booking tickets only after receiving instructions from the government to start passenger flights. Hours before Puri’s advice, Air India said that it has started booking tickets for select domestic routes from May 4 and international flights from June 1.

Company officials said on Sunday, ‘We have stopped all advance bookings. In case of any passenger who has booked the ticket and the relevant flight is canceled, the said passenger will be given a credit voucher to book the ticket later. However, private sector companies have not stopped booking tickets for flights after May 4.
