Alert for TikTok users, bug-hit app
The popular shot video making app TikTok is now hit by a bug. By taking advantage of this bug, hackers can share fake videos on any user’s timeline, so you now need to be vigilant. This bug has been revealed in TickTalk by two iOS developers, though Ticketock has not yet released a statement on its behalf.
Developers, Talal Hajj Beri and Tommy Misk claimed in their blog posts that TickTock is using Unsecure (unsafe) HTTP to download the media files being prepared by your phone. Hackers can exchange videos shared by Ticketlock users due to the use of unsafe HTTP. It is being said that it is possible to change the video, photo as well as profile picture.

According to the report of the latest website Hacking News, the blog has even claimed that the verified account can also be tampered with. You will be surprised to know that by taking advantage of TickTock’s unencrypted HTTP, fake video has been shared about Corona from the World Health Organization (WHO) account. Developers have said that this bug is present in iOS app version 15.5.6 and Android app version 15.7.4.
