Air tickets booked during lockdown will have full refund
new Delhi. The entire amount of the airline ticket booked during the lockdown will be refunded. The Civil Aviation Ministry has issued an advisory on Thursday regarding refunds. Under this advisory, if a passenger has booked a ticket for any domestic or international flight during the lockdown period, the airlines will give them full refund. This refund will be only on tickets that have been booked between March 25 and April 14.
On Thursday, the government instructed all airlines in the country that the airline would have to refund the entire amount to passengers who had booked tickets for the journey till May 3 during the first phase of the lockdown. The Civil Aviation Ministry said that if a passenger booked a ticket during the first phase of lockdown, the airline would have to give a full refund of the ticket.

In this advisory it was said that during the first phase of the lockdown, the passenger has booked a ticket for domestic or international flight and the airlines have received the payment. If the ticket is canceled, the passenger will be given a full refund. Airlines cannot deduct cancellation charge or any other charge on it. Refund will have to be done within 3 weeks of cancellation request.
