20-time PGA Tour winner golfer Doug Sanders dies
New York. Former professional golfer Doug Sanders, who has won the PGA Tour title 20 times in his career, passed away. He was 86 years old. According to the PGA’s official website, Sanders, known as Peacock of the Fairways in the golf world, died in Houston on Sunday.
Apart from the PGA Tour 20 times, Senders was also the runner-up 20 times. These include four main championships which are PGA Championship of 1595, US Open in 1961 and Open Championship of 1966 and 1970. The Sanders were in the top 10 13 times without winning the main championship. He won his Amateur title in 1956 as Canada Open. At the same time, in 1961, he won five victories.
