960 foreigners involved in tabligi activities blacklisted, visa canceled
new Delhi. 960 foreigners who came to India on tourist visas and found involved in tablighi activities have been blacklisted by the Ministry of Home Affairs and their Indian visas have also been canceled.
It is to be known that thousands of people from India and abroad had gathered in the Tablighi Jamaj program in Nizamuddin area of New Delhi, in which many people were found to be Corona positive and many people who came in contact with them have also been found to be Corona positive. After which the Ministry of Home Affairs has directed the Delhi Police and the Directors General of Police of other concerned states to take necessary legal action against 960 foreigners for violating the provisions of the Foreigners Act 1946 and the Disaster Management Act 2005 in the Nizamuddin Markaz case.
Significantly, the members of the Tablighi Jamaat and about 9000 people who came in contact with them have been kept in isolation till now. Out of nearly 2000 such members of the Tabligi Jamaat in Delhi, 1804 have been sent to quarantine centers, while 334 members with symptoms have been admitted to hospitals.
