Shaktimaan and Chanakya will be broadcasted on Doordarshan from 1 April
Shaktimaan, one of the most popular serials in the history of Indian television, is making a comeback on TV. Apart from Shaktimaan, the famous serial Chanakya and Upanishad Ganga are also returning to Doordarshan. During the nationwide bandh implemented due to the Corona virus, many popular shows of old age have been started for the audience, including Mahabharata and Ramayana.
Apart from these serials, Shah Rukh Khan’s Circus and Ranjit Kapoor’s Famous Serial Byomkesh Bakshi have also been announced for telecast on Doordarshan and its associated channels. Mukesh Khanna had informed about the telecast of Shaktimaan on Twitter on Sunday.
Shaktimaan will be telecast daily on DD National from 1 April 2020 at 1 pm. Whereas Chanakya and Upanishad Ganga made under the direction of Chandraprakash Dwivedi will be broadcast on DD Bharati.
He said in a video clip, watching two of the country’s epics Ramayana and Mahabharata in one day is a pleasure for 135 crore Indians living in lockdown. Stay at home and enjoy it. This cannot be good news. But I am also bringing good news for the fans of Shaktimaan. Shaktimaan is also going to come soon.
Shaktimaan was telecast on Doordarshan between 1997 and 2005. This was followed by Shaktimaan: The Animated Series in 2011 and the television film Our Hero Shaktimaan in 2013. There are also reports that Mukesh Khanna will also bring Shaktimaan’s sequel and work on it will start after lockdown.
