The central government has now decided to abolish all agent and vendor systems from the railways. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal informed in Parliament that the government is now going to end the agent and vendor system from Indian Railways. In fact, for the last several years, the government has been continuously receiving complaints that money is being looted by the pretenders of getting confirmed tickets. Apart from this, agents were also making a dent in the railway ticket system.
319 agent was arrested recently
Only last month, the Railway Protection Force exposed the illegal booking of tickets by a group of agents. After investigation, about 319 agents were also arrested by the Railway Police. All these agents used to book tickets in violation of the rules in the railway site.
Let us know that on 11 February and 12 February, RPF conducted a nationwide campaign against the agent of IRCTC. Many agents were caught selling fake tickets. In 2 days 319 agents were arrested. Now IDs of 317 agents are being blacklisted. 37.86 lakh future tickets have been blocked and more than 1 crore 19 lakh tickets have been caught. 3 agents have admitted that they used fake software.
