Siddharth Malhotra to play double role in remake of Tamil film, inspired by true events
Actor Siddharth Malhotra has signed a new film, which will be inspired by true events. Siddharth will have a double role in this action-packed film. It is being produced jointly by T-Series and Murad Khetani, while it will be directed by Ketan. On this, the actor shared information on the platform on different social media on Wednesday. At present, the name of the film and the heroine have not been decided. The film will be a remake of the superhit Tamil film ‘Thadam’ released in the year 2019.
Speaking about the film, Siddharth shared a photo on Instagram and Twitter, in which producers Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani are seen together. With this he wrote, ‘I am very excited to be a part of this tremendously entertaining thriller film with double trouble, Bhushan Kumar, Murad Khetani and Vardan Ketkar. See you in theaters on 20 November 2020.
Shooting will start in May, release in November
The producer of the film Bhushan Kumar also tweeted about the project. He wrote, ‘I am making the next film with Murad Khetani, in which Siddharth Malhotra will act. Inspired by true events, this action thriller film will go on floors in May and will be released on 20 November 2020.
Thadum was released last year
The Tamil film ‘Thadam’ was released in March 2019. In which Arun Vijay, Tanya Hope, Smriti Venkat and Vidya Pradeep played the lead roles. The film was based on a murder mystery, with plenty of action. Apart from the Hindi remake of this film, Siddharth will also be seen in ‘Sher Shah’. In this film, he is playing the role of Paramvir Chakra Awardee Army Officer Captain Vikram Batra.
