Ghaziabad: Man beaten up, dragged by leash, asked to bark by wife’s relatives
The incident is nearly eight months old when the victim of abuse, identified as Ikramuddin, was kidnapped allegedly by his wife’s relatives who are also his neighbours in Kallu Garhi village in Ghaziabad.
In a shocking incident from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, a man was beaten up, dragged with a leash and asked to bark allegedly by his wife’s relatives. A video of the incident, which reportedly happened in May 2019, went viral on social media and an enquiry has been initiated in the case.
The incident is nearly eight months old when the victim of abuse, identified as Ikramuddin, was kidnapped allegedly by his wife’s relatives who are also his neighbours in Kallu Garhi village in Ghaziabad.
In the video of the incident, some men are seen beating Ikramuddin with sticks. Ikramuddin is even seen being dragged by the accused men and asked to bark.
According to the complaint filed with the police, Ikramuddin has had a love marriage with one Hina on February 8 in 2018 and had it registered on February 12. The woman’s relatives were Ikramuddin’s neighbours. On May 16, 2019, some persons kidnapped Ikramuddin from his house and physically assaulted him.
He was admitted in a hospital from May 16-20. After he was discharged, Ikramuddin approached the police to file a complaint where he was told about a rape case against him.
A day after he was beaten up, a rape case was filed against him on May 17, 2019. In the complaint, Ikramuddin was accused of raping his wife. On the basis of a complaint, Ikramuddin was arrested and imprisoned.
After he was released on bail, Ikramuddin approached the police and filed a complaint against the persons who had beaten him up in May 2019. He has also alleged that he has been receiving threat ever since he was released on bail. An investigation has been initiated in the case
