New course: IIT Kharagpur asked for application for free online course of Data Mining
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur has sought applications from students for a free online course of data mining. The course through the National Program on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) will run for 8 weeks. This course will be given by Pavitra Mitra, Associate Professor of Computer Science and Engineering Department of IIT Kharagpur.
Eligibility : Students with Engineering, Maths and Physics branch can apply for this online course.
Last date to apply : Interested candidates can apply for the course by 24 February. This online course will run from 24 February to 17 April.
How to get the certificate of data mining course : This is an approved course of AICTE, for which students who complete the course will be able to apply without any fees. At the same time, to get an e-certificate, students have to give a registered and written proctored exam. Students taking the exam will have to pay a fee of Rs 1000.
The exam will be held on April 25 between 9 am to 12 am and 2 pm to 5 pm. To get the certificate, candidates have to score an average of 25% in 6 out of 8 assignments of the course. Apart from this, 75% out of 100 have to be brought in the examination.
