According to Datia Additional Superintendent of Police, RD Prajapati, a resident of village Barcholi had an argument with the relatives of Pandokhar Sarkar at a dhaba’ about three Km from Pandokhar Dham in Datia on Monday night.
The relatives of Pandokhar Sarkar bundled Dubey and two of his associates in their car and took them to Pandokhar Dham where the were mercilessly beaten, police said.
The accused snatched the mobiles of the victims before letting them go. Dubey, according to the police, has suffered critical injuries and was rushed to the Medical College in Gwalior.
The victims approached the police only after they got Dubey admitted to the Gwalior Medical College on Tuesday.
While Gurusharan Maharaj has been named in the FIR, the same has also been registered against his brother and brother-in-law who have not yet been identified by their names and five others who are yet to be identified.
No arrests have been made so far.
According to the district police, all the named and un-named persons in the FIR would be arrested soon even if that meant going inside Pandokhar Dham.
Meanwhile, followers of Gurusharan Maharaj have gathered at the Ashram and have said they would not allow the arrest of their spiritual guru.
