Stock market: Sensex fell 208 points at 41115, Nifty closed 63 points down at 12107; ONGC shares fell 5%

MUMBAI: The stock market was in losses for the third consecutive day on Wednesday. The Sensex lost 208.43 points to end at 41,115.38. During the business was slipped to 41,059.04. The Nifty closed 62.95 points down at 12106.90. The intra-day had fallen to 12,087.90. The market saw heavy fluctuations on Wednesday. The Sensex touched a high of 41,532.29 and a low of 41,059.04. The Nifty slipped to 12,225.05, reaching 12,225.05. According to traders, the market declined due to increased selling in energy, power, auto and financial sector stocks.
The metal index fell the most by 1.54% on the NSE
21 of the 30 Sensex stocks and 34 of the 50 Nifty stocks closed down. 8 out of 11 sector indices were on the NSE. The metal index fell the most to 1.54%. On the other hand, the media index was the biggest gainer at 1.73%.
