for the upcoming Delhi Assembly Election 2020 is expected to be out shortly. The incumbent party is likely to give a rejig to its roster by cutting out several sitting MLAs from the list of candidates.
According to sources in the party, the AAP is Atishi Marlena is likely to be fielded from Kalkaji constituency while Raghav Chaddha may contest from Rajendra Nagar.
The first list of AAP candidates in Delhi elections, due to be held on February 8, is likely to have 70 names.
Apart from Atishi and Raghav Chaddha, the others expected to make the first cut include Dilip Pandey from Timarpur and Durgesh Pathak from Karaval Nagar.
Sitting MLAs who may not get a chance to defend their seats include Adarsh Shastri from Dwarka; Jagdeep Singh from Hari Nagar; Narayan Dutt Sharma from Badarpur; and Commando Surendra Singh from Delhi Cantt.
Sitting MLA Aseem Ahmed Khan from Matia Mahal may get bummed to accommodate Shoaib Iqbal, who recently joined AAP from Congress.
The list of candidates will be finalised the in the political affairs committee meeting, which will be attended by Delhi CM and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Delhi in-charge Sanjay Singh, state party president Gopal Rai and others.
