The actor addresses past misunderstandings and announces a new musical partnership with the acclaimed singer.
The relationship between Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and playback singer Arijit Singh has been a topic of much speculation over the years. The rift reportedly began in 2014 during an award ceremony hosted by Salman. Arijit’s humorous response to Salman’s playful banter was perceived as disrespectful, leading to tensions between the two. Subsequently, rumors circulated that Arijit’s songs were removed from several of Salman’s films, including the replacement of his track “Jag Ghoomeya” in Sultan with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s version.
In 2016, Arijit publicly apologized on Facebook, pleading for his vocals to remain in Sultan. However, the message was deleted, and Salman did not acknowledge it publicly for years, fueling further speculation.
During a recent episode of Bigg Boss 19, Salman addressed the long-standing feud. Speaking with comedian Ravi Gupta, Salman admitted that the misunderstanding was on his part. He stated:
“Arijit aur main acche dost hai. Woh misunderstanding thi aur woh misunderstanding mere side se hui thi. Uske baad usne gaane bhi kiye mere liye. Tiger 3 mein kiya usne, ab Galwan (Battle of Galwan) mein kar raha hai.”
This marks a significant shift in their relationship, with Salman acknowledging Arijit’s contributions to his films and confirming their reconciliation.
Salman’s acknowledgment of Arijit’s work in Tiger 3 and the upcoming Battle of Galwan signifies a new chapter in their professional relationship. The collaboration on the “Battle of Galwan” song is particularly notable, as it underscores their mutual respect and the resolution of past misunderstandings.
Fans of both Salman and Arijit have expressed their excitement over the reconciliation. Social media platforms are abuzz with messages of support, with many praising the two for moving past their differences and focusing on their shared passion for music.
