Priyadarshan Sets the Record Straight on Cast Dynamics Amid Paresh Rawal’s Brief Exit from the Film
Fans of Bollywood comedy have a reason to rejoice as Hera Pheri 3 is officially back on track. The iconic trio—Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal—are all set to reprise their legendary roles as Raju, Shyam, and Baburao Ganpatrao Apte in the much-anticipated third installment of the Hera Pheri franchise.
In recent weeks, rumors swirled about a fallout between Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar, causing concern among fans. Reports even suggested that Rawal had briefly exited the project. However, Hera Pheri 3 director Priyadarshan has now put all speculations to rest.
In an exclusive conversation with Pinkvilla, Priyadarshan cleared the air:
“Me and Paresh never had an issue. Even to the best of my knowledge, Akshay and Paresh never had any issues. There are some other forces, bad forces, who were pressurising Paresh,” he explained.
According to the director, Rawal was influenced by external pressures and personal concerns, but these never affected the strong bond between the actors or their commitment to the film.
Priyadarshan also revealed Akshay Kumar’s mature response to the situation:
“Akshay told me, ‘Prince sir, if it happens, let it happen. Otherwise, let’s forget it.’ There are other bad forces which created a lot of issues. It is not worth talking about them.”
The filmmaker emphasized that such challenges are part of the industry and praised the resilience of the cast and crew in pushing through the noise.
With Hera Pheri 3, the beloved trio aims to bring back the same magic that made the franchise a household name.
Despite rumors and momentary setbacks, the Hera Pheri 3 team is united and ready to deliver another laughter-filled ride. With Paresh Rawal back on board and Priyadarshan at the helm, fans can look forward to a film that honors the legacy of the franchise while promising fresh entertainment.
