‘Predator’ uncle, 30, who admits punching his niece, 16, to death says he ‘lost his temper’

An uncle who admitted killing his 16-year-old niece by punching her to death blamed it on a loss of control, claiming ‘I lost my temper’.

Shane Mays, 30, is on trial for the murder of vulnerable teenager Louise Smith, 16, but has confessed to her manslaughter.

Mays has already been called a ‘predator’ and accused of having a ‘sexual motivation’ to kill the teenager, who had been living with him and his wife.

Yesterday it was claimed he had previously ‘flirted’ with Louise by putting his arm around her and ‘pinning her down’.

On Tuesday jurors were shown a Snapchat video of Mays looking through Louise’s knees and tickling her on April 26, and were told he had ‘playfights’ with her.

But today Winchester Crown Court heard his manslaughter plea meant he accepted he had walked with her to Havant Thicket, East Hampshire, on May 8.

They listened as his QC Andrew Langdon explained what Mays had said had happened.

Shane Mays, 29, admitted one charge of manslaughter but denies murdering the teenager

Louise Smith, 16, went missing on VE Day in May, sparking a huge two-week search for her

The lawyer said: ‘He attacked her. His case is that he did so because of an argument which resulted in him losing control of his temper.

‘He repeatedly punched her and he accepts that his attack on her would have caused or contributed to her subsequent death.

‘He did not intend to kill her or to cause her really serious injury. He did not set fire to her.

‘He accepts that he told others that he had walked Louise to Emsworth Park when, in fact, he had not done so.

‘He accepts that CCTV sightings correctly identify him. He accepts the interpretation of the movement of Louise’s phone.

‘He accepts that DNA matching his was found there. He accepts that Louise’s blood was found on his left trainer and his fingerprint on her phone.’

Louise went missing on VE day and was not found until the morning of May 21, almost two weeks later.

Prosecutors said the girl’s blood had been found on Mays’ trainers and his fingerprints had been found on an item nearby.

DNA matching Mays’ wife and Louise’s aunt, Chazlynn Mays – known as CJ – was also found prosecution did not suggest she had played any part in the murder.

James Newton-Price QC, prosecuting, said: ‘It is clear, we say, that her killer lured her or persuaded her to walk to a remote location where he attacked her.

‘We say that you can conclude that this was an attack of unimaginable cruelty towards a vulnerable 16-year-old girl.

‘The shattering of the bones and the structure of her face, including the complete detachment of her jaw bone, indicates multiple blows to her head.

‘There is background evidence that Louise Smith was unhappy in the care of Shane Mays and his wife and that she, an adolescent, was drinking heavily in their flat on the night before she disappeared.’

Mr Newton-Price told how forensic scientists believed it was one billion times more likely than not that DNA found in blood spots on Mays’ trainers belonged to Louise.

Investigators found 11 sticks around Louise’s body, the court heard, placed around her as fuel to the fire which had been set on her body.

One of them had DNA on it with ‘possible contributors’ identified as Louise Smith, Shane Mays and CJ Mays.

The likelihood of Shane having been a contributor was considered 38million times more likely than not and the likelihood of his wife having been a contributor was said to be 150 times more likely than not.

Mr Newton-Price told the jury: ‘For the avoidance of doubt, we are not suggesting and I do not think it will be suggested that Chazlynn Mays touched that stick.’

He added: ‘That DNA could have transferred to it by way of her husband Shane.

‘There is no evidence to place Chazlynn Mays outside Ringwood House or anywhere near Havant Thicket on May 8.

‘We say you may reasonably conclude that the person who burned and defiled her body was the defendant Shane Mays.’

Police re-arrested Mays six days after they found Louise’s body and put the findings of his DNA on Stick One and Louise’s blood on his trainers to him, the court was told.

In a prepared statement to the police, Mays had said: ‘I have been arrested on suspicion of murder and I strongly deny this allegation.

‘I have had no involvement at all in the murder of Louise Smith. That is all I wish to say at present.’

The defendant, wearing a blue tee-shirt, sat in the dock at the court, where he admitted manslaughter on Monday.

Mays, of Havant, Hampshire, denies murder but admits manslaughter and the trial continues.

Bill Clinton ‘was a serial sexual predator,’ says Linda Tripp book

Former White House and Pentagon employee, Linda Tripp who secretly recorded conversations with White House intern Monica Lewinsky that led to Bill Clinton’s impeachment in 1998, writes in her upcoming memoir that Hillary used the same playbook of dirty tricks as Richard Nixon.

And nothing was going to stop her from what she viewed as her due – eight years of the presidency.

That included lies to control fallout from all the scandals that occurred during Bill’s administration, such as Whitewater, Filegate, Travelgate as well as the many bimbo eruptions created by Bill who had ‘a private and reckless serial addiction to women’.

The president was ‘a serial sexual predator who should have been a registered sex offender,’ according to the book Basket of Deplorables, published by Post Hill Press and out on December 8.

Tripp, who had been working on her memoir up until her sudden death in April with lawyer and author Dennis Carstens, writes that sexual gratification was a daily need for Clinton and women slipped nonstop into the Oval Office to service him.

Monica Lewinsky, a 22-year old White House summer intern at the time, was a mere blip on Clinton’s sexual satisfaction screen with never more than infrequent ten-minute meetings.

Over the years there were hundreds of women and Clinton put an extraordinary amount of time into satisfying his insatiable need as did his staff who provided cover.

When hapless victims threatened to go public, the Clinton machine laid waste to them and practiced politics of personal destruction.

‘We just have to destroy ’em’, Hillary said often about those on her ‘enemies’ list and that included all the women who spoke up about Bill’s crude abuse.

With a compliant media attacking the accusers’ credibility, they were dismissed as kooks.

‘The Clintons are two of the most corrupt political operatives to ever grace the international stage’, writes Tripp, who had a front row seat in 1993 and 1994 working directly with the president’s Oval Office staff.

‘The Clintons are the great, unwashed deplorables instead of the American people who are not politically connected that they regard with such contempt’, the author writes.

Tripp was using her personal journals she kept over the years to tell her story when she died unexpectedly of late stage pancreatic cancer and lymph node cancer in April 2020.

Hillary willingly covered up Bill’s sexual compulsions that got out of hand and she had to if she wanted what she believed was her due – to become president – and there was no grace.

She gleefully ripped him to shreds verbally in front of others with ‘language that would shock a sailor’.

‘You f**king Jew b*****d’, she screamed at him often and her use of those words became public when she screamed it at Bill’s campaign manager, Bill Fray when Clinton lost his Congressional run in Arkansas in 1974.

Bill called her the c-word. They both used the term frequently to refer to women.

Publicly they both wore masks for years, held hands only when cameras were on them, Tripp details.

Daily they went through a power struggle that the author found laughable as they were viewed as working together for the good of the country.

‘They lived in a parallel universe of smoke and mirrors, bimbo eruptions, pay for play, sleazy land deals and private investigation,’ with what the author calls the Little Rock gang or the Little Rock mafia. They would circle the wagons when there was trouble, and the loyalists were rewarded when they followed the Clintons from Arkansas to the White House.

Deputy White House counsel Vince Foster also followed Hillary to Washington. He had worked at the Rose Law Firm, hired Hillary at the Firm and they were rumored to have had a long affair.

He was brought into all things dark with Hillary but that didn’t stop her from often berating him viciously and giving him ‘a foul-mouthed verbal flogging’, Tripp writes.

She dumped all problems in his lap – Travelgate, health care reform, Whitewater and then ripped into him frequently.

On one occasion, Hillary wanted to hire Little Rock interior designer, Kaki Hockersmith to spark up the White House.

Vince advised her that the proposed budget was too high but Hillary went ahead.

When Kaki started spending indiscriminately and Vince called Hillary, the first lady screamed, ‘F**k the f**king cost; this is what I f**king want. Make it f**king work, no f**king excuses’.

A kind and gentle man who had graduated first in his law school class with the highest score on the bar exam, he left the office on July 20, 1993 and drove to Fort Marcy Park, along the Potomac River and pulled the trigger.

He left no note for his wife or children and questions about his untimely suicide have never ceased.

On learning of his death, Hillary’s chief of staff Maggie Williams ransacked Foster’s desk and boxes of files were quickly carried over to the residence.

Linda suggested that the Secret Service be called in to protect any evidence but Hillary ‘was not going to allow ‘f**king squirrel chasers’ ‘unfettered access to the ‘f**king office’ of the late Vince Foster.

Linda’s days of working with the Oval Office staff ended with that suggestion and she was soon transferred to a post at the Pentagon.

Meanwhile Monica Lewinsky was in hot pursuit of Clinton that began in November 1995 and continued through May ’97.

She had been floating around the Oval Office as a summer intern stalking Bill for more sexual encounters after bending over for the thong incident – flipping up her skirt in the back and showing him her thong panties and butt cheeks.

‘She became a psycho stalker and Bill, the narcissistic sexual predator, could not see what she became – until he tried to dispose of her’.

She was transferred to the Pentagon – considered to be Siberia – to get her out of his sight in April 1996 – and chased after Linda Tripp to bemoan her woes and talk endlessly about her imagined romance with ‘the Big He’ on good days, ‘the Big Creep’ on bad days.

On those dark days when she feared she was out of mind because she was out of sight, she became melancholic and threatened suicide’, writes the author who describes Monica as ‘a psychiatrist’s dream patient’.

These moods were severe, powerful and swift with meltdowns increasing.

There was ‘hysterical sobbing and frightening threats of suicide when the hopelessness of her situation with Bill sank in’.

‘She was just another in a decades long string of malleable and eagerly enthusiastic sexual service providers’.

But Monica had convinced herself that Clinton loved her and they could have a life together after he left Ba-Ba, Monica’s nickname for Hillary.

Her ten-minute visits with Bill morphed into the romantic dates in her mind.

‘Delusion does not begin to cover Monica’s concept of the situation,’ Tripp writes.

When Clinton woke up to the reality of Monica’s delusion, he showered her with re-gifted gifts hoping that would convince her to protect him.

Tripp writes Monica would have gone to her grave protecting him.

Listening to ‘the never-ending Sturm and Drang, the hopeless despair, suicide threats and the emotional wasteland that became her life for three years,’ severely stressed out Linda.

Monica’s job at the Pentagon required nothing so spent her time making plans to get back to the big house, filing and polishing her nails, styling her hair and checking her makeup.

Going back to the White House wasn’t in the cards –  although she imagined it was –  and she schemed her way into an invite to Clinton’s big birthday party at Radio City Music Hall that year.

Linda Tripp writes that she became hated after turning over the tapes of her recorded conversations with Lewinsky to special prosecutor Ken Starr who was investigating Clinton at the time for investments made in connection with Whitewater.

She maintained that her decision to expose Bill as a dangerous predator was ‘always about right and wrong, never left and right’.

Hillary and Bill survived the smoke and mirrors they had created.

Hillary claimed they were leaving the White House dead broke but it was another mistruth.

Between ’93 and ’96, they had sold over 800 overnights in the Lincoln Bedroom; Bill was selling pardons; and on the way out the door, they looted silverware, tableware, furniture and sundry other things.

In addition, they had two book deals in hand valued at $20 million.

Sexual predator posing as Oscar-winning British filmmaker is cold-calling actresses

An Oscar-winning British filmmaker has warned women to be on their guard after he learnt a man pretending to be him is cold-calling actresses for sexually-charged phone conversations.

Hugh Welchman, who was nominated for Loving Vincent at the 2018 Awards and won in 2008 with animated short film Peter and the Wolf, found out about the conman when women started sending him angry messages on Instagram in early September.

Women had been contacted out of the blue by a man claiming to be Welchman, interested in hiring them for a film role.

The work discussions then evolved into deeply uncomfortable and personal conversations which sometimes lasted an hour. Some of the women were convinced to move to a video call, and at least three reportedly exposed themselves for him. All, as far as Welchman and the authorities know, have rejected his requests to meet in person.

Hugh Welchman, 45, told his Instagram followers to be on the lookout for ‘a conman creep’

The Oxford-educated director and producer, who lives with his wife in Poland, called his agent, who revealed that he too had received a series of complaints.

The first ones he dismissed as a case of mistaken identity or a mentally-troubled person, and did not tell Welchman.

But when Welchman, 45, found out the scale of the calls, he felt he needed to act.

‘I have an important announcement, which is that currently there is some conman creep who is pretending to be me and phoning up actresses in the United States,’ he said.

‘Please know that I would never cold-call actresses, actors or any crew.

‘So if you have received a phone call please report it to the authorities, as I will be reporting all the instances that have come to my attention over the past couple of weeks.

‘So hopefully we will be able to track this imposter down and stop him from misusing my name.’

Welchman is pictured with his wife Dorota Kobiela in Berlin in December 2017

Welchman began a database, and said that there are 13 women who have come forward, the earliest call dating back to May 2020, the most recent taking place mid October.

Most of the actresses are based in Los Angeles or New York, with one in Texas, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

‘Obviously it’s distressing for me as it’s my identity,’ Welchman told the site.

Kaitlin Mamie received a call from the imposter on September 16

‘But it’s much more distressing for the women who he’s trying to dominate and exploit.’

Kaitlin Mamie, a LA-based Canadian stand-up comedian, was among those targeted.

She said stealing Welchman’s identity made sense.

‘It’s someone obscure enough that it could be believable, and it’s someone who has won an Oscar, so again, it shows he’s a person in power,’ she told the site, saying she received her call on September 16.

The man on the other end of the phone told her about the film Loving Vincent, and discussed a potential future role.

He then asked Mamie if she would do some ‘energy work’ with him to help ‘break down the walls.’

He then asked her to lie on the bed in her room and breathe deeply in and out, while he asked her about ‘anxiety inside’ her, and the state of her marriage.

‘Can you feel my energy, yes? Where can you feel my energy? My energy is stronger than your energy, yes? Can you feel that, yes?’ he said.

Mamie told him she was uncomfortable and wanted to stop.

‘That’s good, that’s part of it all,’ he responded. ‘I wanted to listen to your inner voice. That’s what the film is about.’

The second time he rang she said he should go through her agent, and he never called back.

The caller frequently referenced someone known to the woman, saying they had recommended he call.

Alexis Capozzi was contacted by him on October 8, who said her acting tutor suggested her

Alexis Capozzi was contacted by him on October 8, who said her acting tutor suggested her

Alexis Capozzi, a Los Angeles-based actress and model, received a call on October 8 with the man saying he was directed to call her by her former acting tutor, Stan Kirsch.

Capozzi told him Kirsch had died nine months earlier; the con man said he had ‘only just got funding’ for the project.

In a later call he said he had rung again because he’d ‘been thinking about Stan’ who had wanted him to ‘reach out and make sure everything was ok.’

Capozzi said that after a long conversation the caller said she had been raped.

She told him that she had not, but realized that the conversations were getting too intense.

‘I just had this kind of visceral reaction,’ she told the Hollywood Reporter.

She said that call that was getting ‘far too sexual in nature,’ she looked to shut it down.

A third woman, New York-based Kyle Ocasio, an actress and comedian, was called on September 14.

She said the man sounded ‘like a creepy yoga teacher’ and at one point asked Ocasio if she would ‘accept his total authority.’

The website said that a detective from the Los Angeles Police Department has been assigned to the case.

A spokesman for LAPD told DailyMail.com they had no details of the case.

Welchman said he had also reported it to the FBI’s identity theft website.

TikTok failed to ban flagged ‘child predator’, investigation warns

It’s the go-to social media app for many youngsters around the world, but a new investigation may make you reconsider letting your child use TikTok.

BBC Panorama has found that TikTok failed to ban a flagged ‘child predator’, and is slow to act against adults who engage children in sexually explicit conversations.

In their investigation, a 23-year-old journalism graduate posed as a 14-year-old girl on TikTok, using photo editing software to make her look the part.

Despite telling him that she was only 14, the girl was sent an explicit message by a 34-year-old man.

The ‘girl’ reported the user and his comments, yet it took four days for TikTok to take action – and that was only after BBC Panorama contacted them.

TikTok said: “A report about a user’s account or comments will not generally trigger a review of direct messages.

“On this occasion, the report…was against the account in general, not the specific direct messages” and because the account “posted no videos”, “no action was taken.”

Following the investigation, TikTok has now banned two accounts.

BBC Panorama also spoke to a former content moderator at TikTok’s London office, who claimed that employees at TikTok’s Chinese headquarters made the key decisions.

He said: “It felt like not very much was being done to protect people. Beijing were hesitant to suspend accounts or take stronger action on users who were being abusive.

“They would pretty much only ever get a temporary ban of some form, like a week or something.

“Moderators at least on the team I was on did not have the ability to ban accounts. They have to ask Beijing to do that. There were a lot of sort of clashes with Beijing.”

He added that TikTok’s algorithm could actually actively put young users in danger.

“The algorithm will feed you what you interact with so if you’re looking at a lot of kids dancing sexually, and you interact with that, it’s going to give you more kids dancing sexually,” he explained.

“Some users interact with that stuff because it is their interest. Maybe it’s a predator that they see these kids doing that and that’s their way of you know, engaging with the kids.”

TikTok says that it has a team of her 10,000 moderators in 20 countries, and that no content is now moderated in China.

Watch the full investigation on Panorama: Is TikTok safe? on BBC One on Monday 2 November at 7:35pm.

Mother urges Kim Kardashian to break ties with ‘predator’ fertility doctor featured on KUWTK

Kim Kardashian has been urged to break ties with a doctor featured on Keeping Up With The Kardashians after he was accused of using his own sperm to impregnate a patient.

Beverly Willhelm, from San Diego, says the reality show ‘put its very public seal of approval on a predator’ when it featured Dr. Phillip Milgram on October 1.

In a lawsuit Willhelm accuses Dr Milgram of using his own sperm ‘without my consent and against my wishes’ to impregnate her with son Jimmy Mallus, now 32.

He is said to have told Beverly and her ex-husband ‘he would use the sperm of an anonymous donor’. A 23andMe DNA test given to Jimmy years later revealed Milgram had used his own sperm, according to the suit.

Willhelm told The Daily Beast: ‘I am asking her to disassociate herself and Keeping Up With the Kardashians from the doctor who violated me and committed fertility fraud on my family.’

Dr Milgram’s lawyer, David Rosenberg, told NBC7 last month when the lawsuit was first filed: ‘At this point, it’s under litigation. There’s no comment until we get a chance to do discovery.

‘These are serious allegations, I don’t know the veracity of truth to any of them. We’re going to be diligent and thorough in our defense and try to sort out what the truth is.’ DailyMail.com has contacted Dr Milgram’s office for comment.

An E! spokesman told The Daily Beast: ‘Dr. Milgram’s appearance has been removed from all future airings of this ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ episode.’

In the show Scott Disick visited Dr Milgram after revealing to the Kardashians: ‘Lately, I’ve just had no energy to do anything. Like I wake up, and I’m just shot.’

At Kim’s urging, he called his doctor’s office, concerned that perhaps either the drugs and partying of his past had taken a toll on him that couldn’t be repaired, or something worse was wrong.

Asked by Dr. Milgram whether he had a lot of stress in his life, Scott acknowledged that he had, noting that he had lost both of his parents and gone to rehab.

‘When you use drugs or you have stress in your life, or you have medical problems… you need NAD to repair that,’ Phillip told him. ‘You need to refill your swimming pool.’

Willhelm said of the appearance: ‘When I heard about this my blood ran cold.

‘The good news for Kim Kardashian is that Dr. Milgram was not her fertility doctor. The bad news for Ms. Kardashian is that her popular reality-television program put its very public seal of approval on a predator.’

She added: ‘Today, my son is traumatized. He is experiencing significant emotional distress and confusion about his identity. He now is forever linked to a biological sperm donor who violated his own mother.

‘I hope she will listen to this plea from another mother who now finds her story being known so publicly. I am asking that Kim do the right thing and step back from any kind of perceived endorsement of Dr. Phillip Milgram.’

The lawsuit also alleges Dr. Milgram ‘was actively abusing narcotic drugs’ when he allegedly used his sperm to impregnate Beverly.

Son Mallus said: ‘I expected to learn something new and exciting about who I am when I took this test. But instead, I learned something that’s revolting.’

Writing to the show’s producers her attorney, Adam Wolf, said: ‘Obviously, I know that neither Kim Kardashian nor anyone associated with Keeping Up With the Kardashians would knowingly promote the services of someone with the background of Dr. Milgram.

‘I am well aware you would not intentionally tout as a medical expert and implicitly endorse someone like Dr. Milgram.

‘More specifically, I do not think that someone of Ms. Kardashian’s demonstrated leadership on fertility issues would cast a positive spotlight on a medical professional currently being sued for fertility fraud.’
