The reality of the Kardashian-Jenner will say goodbye at the end of this year with the broadcast of its twentieth season of ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashian’, that will arrive loaded apparently with explosive revelations about the marriage crisis that the most mediatic couple of the whole family has been going through for months: Kim and Kanye.

The show has always used as a claim the most remarkable events in the private lives of its stars, from the births of new clan members to infidelities, scandals and more or less credible disputes, so offer a glimpse into what is really happening in doors for inside the home of ‘Kimye’ -as the rapper and celebrity tandem are popularly known- practically guarantees unbeatable audience numbers.

According to the Page Six portal now, all those involved in the recording of the episodes have signed confidentiality agreements so that none of the plots that the marriage will allegedly star or details of the statements that are leaked are leaked. Kim perform before the cameras in the usual ‘confessional’ segment.

It is unknown if the musician will also appear to tell his version of events. As a general rule, he had always avoided participating in the show, but in the sixteenth season he encouraged himself to make several cameos inspired, as he explained at the time, by the animated film ‘The Incredibles’, that started with several interviews of the leading superheroes.

The latest rumors suggest that the couple is now separated and is preparing to face the process in which they will divide their properties in common.

With Biden comes a new era but a very difficult beginning | The State

President-elect, Joe Biden.

Photo:
Joe Raedle / Getty Images

We have just days left until a new era of government begins with the swearing in and inauguration of Joe Biden as a tenant in the White House.

The event is framed by the possible absence of his successor in the change of command and the closure of Donald Trump’s internet accounts by Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.

Although they point to Trump as responsible for the attack on the Capitol, on the day of the Three Kings, there is also discussion about whether his presence on the network can be censored, leaving the decision on who can comment, or not, in the hands of those internet giants , in social networks, because freedom of expression is enshrined in the Constitution.

Biden also faces alarming unemployment figures from the pandemic.

In other words, it is better to give him waiting time because his first hundred days will not be so easy and the rest of his four years, less pleasant, due to the situation in which the country receives.

Along with Vice President Kamala Harris, President Biden will be in charge of turning the page of government that ends amid riots and protests that affect confidence in the economic future, in government and in democracy.

Therefore, from next week it is best to identify the true common enemy that is the pandemic, because the coronavirus continues to kill without distinguishing political, religious, economic, or social status.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there are almost 380 thousand deaths with about 23 million infected in the nation alone.

And the hope is in Biden’s announcements about the invitation to reconciliation to lead the country on the path of recovery and vaccination that will allow an end to the deadly virus.

Biden is expected to comply with the distribution of all available doses to immunize the population and begin to reopen companies, large or small, also return to classrooms and resume lost productivity.

Recall that the virus is changing since the pandemic began in February last year, with the new strain reported in the UK and here in our area.

In addition to Biden’s management, we depend on the Pfizer-BioNtech and Moderna vaccines reaching everyone’s arms, with no problems in dosing and with production to immunize the entire population.

If we do not succeed, we will be isolated, with no possibility of recovering the economy and jobs, so good luck, Mr. President!

Kirstie Alley comes under fire for comparing Trump’s Twitter ban to SLAVERY

Actress Kirstie Alley came under fire on Saturday for comparing President Trump’s Twitter ban to slavery.

The Cheers star was reacting to a comment from the American Civil Liberties Union which is also opposed to the suspension of the president’s account on the grounds of free speech.

Alley, 69, claimed that tech companies now hold ‘the keys to the chains’ as she compared Wednesday’s riot on the Capitol by Trump supporters to the summer’s Black Lives Matter demonstrations.

Despite criticism, the celeb Trump supporter stood by her statement, claiming in a later tweet that there is ‘more than one definition of the word slavery’, yet also claimed she views the actions of the president’s mob as a ‘treasonous criminal terrifying act’.

Actress Kirstie Alley, 69, pictured above, came under fire on Saturday for comparing President Trump’s Twitter ban to slavery in a Twitter thread and refusing to back down

Alley stood her ground claiming there is ‘more than one definition of the word slavery’

Alley, who is a high profile follower of the Church of Scientology, had retweeted a statement from the ACLU which said that ‘it should concern everyone when companies like Facebook and Twitter wield the unchecked power to remove people from platforms that have become indispensable for the speech of billions – especially when political realities make those decision easier’.

While the statement later added that Trump could still address his followers through ‘his press team or Fox News’ which is claimed is a luxury ‘black, brown and LGBTQ activists who have been censored by social media companies’ don’t have, Alley focused on the first line

‘ALL people should be concerned is the KEY here,’ she said.

‘It’s true, the average person will no longer have a platform to speak their views. This is called SLAVERY. This censorship proves BIG TECH now holds the keys to the chains.

‘Remember this? Remember all the fires, killing, terrorizing, destruction and yes, at FEDERAL buildings? It was HIDEOUS & ILLEGAL. Remember how these criminals got FUNDED & bailed out? NO ONE WAS OUSTED FROM PLATFORMS including politicos who ENDORSED the VIOLENCE,’ Alley added in a second tweet.

‘Remember?’ she asked, sharing an article from the Tampa Bay Times that reported on BLM protesters lighting a fire in Portland on July 19.

‘On another note… the vast majority of humans are good people just trying to make earth better…So I’m gonna celebrate that,’ Alley said.

After Alley was called out for appearing to condone Wednesday’s violence, she returned to Twitter to write: ‘No violence no violence no violence PLEASE no violence’.

‘Breaching the CAPITOL was a treasonous criminal terrifying act and those people should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law,’ she continued.

‘I do not condone VIOLENCE, TREASON, CRIMINAL ACTS OR DESTRUCTION OF LIFE AND PROPERTY. This should suffice as my stance on Jan. 6th.’

As the backlash continued, she refused to back down and stood firm in her comparison between the Trump Twitter ban and slavery.

‘There is more than one definition of the word slavery … there is the well-known one but the one I refer to a lot is “restricted freedom” … such as the type of slavery in Venezuela,’ she said.

Yet others did not agree and accused her of minimizing the ‘vicious brutality of real slavery’ in her comparison.

‘No. This is a shocking minimization of the sheer vicious brutality of real slavery,’ replied Patricia Arquette.

‘Children were sold away out of their parents’ arms. People were worked and beaten to death. Shackled. Women were raped. Couples were separated and sold.

‘Shame on you. I’m back to muting and blocking you. You are incredibly spoiled if you think it’s equitable in any way,’ she added.

Historian Kevin Kruse wrote: ‘Yes, when historians write about slavery, the thing we stress the most is how the enslaved didn’t have free access to social media platforms.’

And Bishop Talbert Swan also slammed Alley telling her ‘SLAVERY was when Africans and their descendants were OWNED, stripped of freedom, extracted of their labor, treated like animals, raped, lynched, murdered, brutalized, and dehumanized’.

‘It’s not being restricted from inciting violence via social media,’ he added.

On Saturday night, Alley also argued against Trump’s second impeachment, which may come after he was seen to incite the violence that erupted on Wednesday, drawing anger from both Democrats and Republicans.

‘I think some people have confused the words impeachment and peaches. I agree we should all call for more peaches,’ she wrote.

Alley had previously come under attack in October after liberal celebrities set on her for announcing that she was going to vote for Trump.

‘I voted for him 4 years ago for this reason and shall vote for him again for this reason,’ she said.

‘He gets things done quickly and he will turn the economy around quickly. There you have it folks, there you have it’.

She also led the charge of conservative celebrities who backed the president in his unfounded claims of voter fraud following his loss to Joe Biden.

Alley has long been a Trump supporter, endorsing him in 2015 during his presidential run.

She tweeted her support after the then-candidate was aggressively questioned by Scott Pelley during a 60 Minutes interview about his presidential run.

‘Pelley acting like an antagonist a**hat,’ she tweeted. ‘I like Trump … fire at will.’

She then defended her position with a series of follow-up tweets.

However, the following year she walked back her endorsement after the controversial ‘p***ygate’ tape emerged.

Trump received a permanent suspension from Twitter on Friday night due to concerns that his account would be used to incite further violence after five people died in the Capitol riots on Wednesday.

League of Legends: Wild Rift’s open beta comes to North America in March

Fans in North America will be able to play League of Legends on their phones very soon. Today, at a big event detailing what 2021 will look like for League, developer Riot revealed that Wild Rift — the mobile and console version of the game — will launch in open beta in the Americas starting in March. It’s not clear what platforms the beta will be available on, but previous open betas were primarily on Android and iOS.

Additionally, Riot outlined its plans to support Wild Rift throughout the year. That includes regular events like a Lunar New Year festival in February, a ranked season that kicks off in some regions this week, and the addition of around two new characters each month.

The other big reveal from the event relates to Riot’s esports ambitions. League of Legends is arguably the biggest competitive game in the world right now, and Riot is trying to do something similar for its tactical shooter Valorant. So it should come as no surprise that the developer now says it’s looking to build out esports scenes for its trio of League spinoffs: Teamfight Tactics, Legends of Runeterra, and Wild Rift.

Competitive mobile games like Honor of Kings, PUBG Mobile, and Brawl Stars are some of the most popular in the world, so it makes a lot of sense that Riot would try something similar with its smartphone titles, however there aren’t a lot of details on what the scenes will look like just yet.

Meanwhile, the developer also announced that this year’s League of Legends World Championship will be held in Shenzhen, China. Last year’s event took place in Shanghai.

Maybe the first time they met Alexis ohanian reject the offer of Serena Williams to give him some tennis lessons because he had no idea who he was talking to, but since then he has been able to see first-hand how hard his wife works to make history in this sport, for example, winning the Australian Open in 2017 pregnant with their only daughter in common, and does not intend to tolerate anyone disrespecting her.

The co-founder of the Reddit platform has used Twitter to react to the controversial statements made a few days ago by the retired tennis player Ion Tiriac, founder of the Madrid Open, about Serena’s weight and age. More specifically, he criticized his physical form and assured without hot cloths that, if he had a modicum of shame left, would retire as soon as possible. Alexis has now promised on that social network that he will not sit idly by while a “sexist and racist clown” publicly attacks his family.

Nobody really cares what Ion Tiriac thinks“, Has tweeted in response to all those who have already started to speculate on the measures that Serena would take to get revenge. “I had to Google him,” her husband added, referring to the Romanian athlete. “Turns out my 3 year old has more Grand Slams than this clown“.

This is not the first time that Tiriac has dared to comment on Serena’s decision to return to the slopes in 2018, at 36 years old and after taking maternity leave, to insist that she was not being realistic. She had previously responded by acknowledging that anyone can comment on her career, but also stated that she would not hesitate to hold him accountable for her words if they ever met face to face.

Abu Dhabi: Motorists will soon begin to incur road tolls in Abu Dhabi, with the dedicated ‘Darb’ system, which is set to go live on January 2. The emirate’s public transport regulator, the Department of Municipalities and Transport’s Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), had earlier announced that more than 100,000 vehicle accounts have already been registered on Darb.

Ahead of its rollout, here is all you need to know:

When do Abu Dhabi’s toll gates become operational?

The Darb toll gates will begin charging users from Saturday, January 2, 2021. Effectively, the first vehicles to be charged will be those passing under a toll gate between 7am and 9am on Saturday.

How many toll gates are there and where are they located?

There are currently four toll gates in the capital, each located near one of the four bridges connecting Abu Dhabi island to the mainland: Al Maqtaa Bridge, Musaffah Bridge, Sheikh Zayed Bridge and Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Bridge.

What is the charge for passing under a toll gate?

A Dh4 toll will be collected if a motorist passes under any of the gates between 7am and 9am, and between 5pm and 7pm, between Saturday to Thursday. These are the designated peak hours.

Are there times when passing under a toll gate will be free?

Passing under any of the toll gates during non-peak hours every day, and at any time on Fridays and public holidays, will be free for motorists.

Is there a cap on the maximum toll amount charged in a day?

The maximum daily toll amount per vehicle is capped at Dh16. In addition, a monthly cap of Dh200 on the toll will apply for the first vehicle on a user’s account, along with a cap of Dh150 on the second vehicle, and Dh100 on all additional vehicles.
