Social media users go wild over Melania Trump refusing to pose for cameras after leaving White House

‘She is so DONE!’ Video of a stony-faced Melania Trump refusing to stop and pose for the cameras after leaving the White House goes viral

  • Former President Donald Trump and his wife Melania skipped the inauguration and flew south to Palm Beach, Florida on Wednesday morning
  • Melania, 50, changed outfits on the plane but didn’t stop to pose for pictures after landing
  • Though her husband paused to wave and face the cameras, Melania didn’t break stride and continued on past him to the car
  • Social media users find a video clip of the moment incredibly funny and say she is done acting like she cares about Trump or being in the public eye

Former First Lady Melania Trump made clear that she is ready for a break from the spotlight yesterday when she refused to stop and pose for waiting photographers upon her arrival in Florida – instead striding away from them without so much as a wave while her husband posed for pictures.

Video of the moment a stony-faced Melania, 50, purposefully walked straight past the media at Palm Beach Airport while leaving husband Donald in her wake has left many with the impression that she is done playing nice for the cameras.

The recording has gone Twitter, where users are pointing out that the mother-of-one appears to ‘give no f***s’ anymore, with some even speculating that she is moments away from filing for divorce.

The Trumps left D.C. on Air Force One early on Wednesday and landed hours later in Florida to stay at Mar-a-Lago.

On board, Melania staged an outfit change, swapping the somber black look she departed in for a colorful $3,700 Gucci dress and kicking off her $795 Christian Louboutin heels for $625 ballerina flats by Roger Vivier.

Her outfit seemed to speak volumes about her desire to throw off the stress of life in the White House – with many noting that she appeared ready for a vacation.

But though changing into a new designer outfit indicated that she knew she’d be photographed upon landing, Melania didn’t seem to have any time or patience for the photographers.

Video footage shows her walking alongside her husband as Trump stops, turns toward the camera, smiles, and waves.

Melania, though, continued walking at the same pace, sparing a frowning glance at the crowd and cameras but otherwise not acknowledging their presence.

Ending? Many are speculating that she will file for divorce any day now

One social media user shared a recording of the moment from TV, writing: ‘If “I ain’t got to do this s*** anymore” was a person.

Others have similar ideas about her attitude, saying that Melania seems to be done with playing along and playing nice.

‘She has NO f***s anymore! She is DONE with him! Contract is over!’ wrote one.

‘Nothing says I’m done more than a muumuu,’ said another.

‘She so freaking DONE with this nonsense,’ wrote one more.

Dozens have cracked jokes speculating that Melania is moments away from divorcing Trump now that he is no longer president.

‘Melania is so over this ego clown. I’m going to predict divorce papers are filed in the first 90 days as civilians,’ wrote one.

‘She’s looking forward to signing those divorce papers asap,’ wrote another.

‘Divorce papers were being delivered before that clip ended,’ said yet another, while one more quipped: ‘She’s in a hurry. Got a meeting with the divorce lawyer in 10. ‘

‘The terms of her post-nuptial just expired.

There have been reports that Melania renegotiated her prenuptial agreement with Trump before moving into the White House.

Last year, Melania’s former aide Stephanie Wolkoff alleged that the Trumps had separate bedrooms in the White House and ‘a transactional marriage’.

Fellow ex-aide Omarosa Manigault Newman claimed the couple’s 15-year marriage was over, adding: ‘Melania is counting every minute until he is out of office and she can divorce.

‘If Melania were to try to pull the ultimate humiliation and leave while he’s in office, he would find a way to punish her.’

Photographs taken at the airport indicate that Melania did flash a quick wave to some of the supporters who had gathered to greet the Trumps in Florida – however she does appear to have paused for even a second before jumping into the waiting SUV.

Speed cameras paying more than ever

The pandemic has not put the brakes on delinquent motorists, who were more likely to be caught by photo radars last year, giving the state the most lucrative year since their establishment in 2009.

No less than 391,515 offenses were captured by photographic radars and red light cameras between January 1 and December 31, 2020, according to data from the Ministry of Justice.

The sum of the fines for these contraventions totals $ 56,138,361. Previously, the highest-paying year had been 2019 with $ 51,373,189.

The device that has captured the most heavy-footed motorists is heading south on Highway 15 in Mirabel.

In all, it resulted in the issuance of 45,846 speeding tickets totaling $ 5,876,361 in fines.

This represents almost 9% of all reports submitted last year.

It’s not just in the Montreal area that motorists like to speed.

In Quebec City, the radar located at the corner of Charest Boulevard and Saint-Sacrement Avenue alone made it possible to collect $ 3,697,785 for 33,272 reports served.

Mobile and efficient

While flashes from fixed speed cameras and red light cameras turned on less often in 2020, compared to the previous year, flashes from mobile devices reached a new high in fines and fines.

The radar installed following the tragic pile-up of Autoroute 440 in Laval, which killed four and injured 15 in 2019, is the mobile device that resulted in the most traffic tickets. It allowed the remission of 28,285 tickets and the addition of $ 3,761,108 to the state coffers.

If the sum of the fines for this device is higher than that of Charest Boulevard in Quebec City, despite a smaller number of reports, it is because the greater the difference between the speed of the vehicle and the permitted limit, the more the bill is high.

Speed and COVID-19

Even though the roads seemed less busy because many citizens were telecommuting, these results hardly surprised Nicolas Ryan, spokesperson for CAA-Quebec, who spoke of collateral damage from COVID-19.

“This perception can give drivers a false sense of security. When there are fewer cars and the road seems more open, you can tend to have a heavier foot and allow yourself a few misdemeanors, such as looking at your cell phone, ”says Ryan.

The latter refers to two of their polls conducted in Canada in June and December, in which 60% of their members felt they were more witnesses to reckless driving, especially when it comes to speeding.

Over the past year, the Sûreté du Québec has also relayed several speeding offenses on social networks.

By analyzing the 2020 figures for photographic radars, we can see that the months of April and May, during which Quebec was on hiatus, were the least lucrative.

However, offenses increase significantly from July. The operation was the most successful last December, with more than $ 7 million in fines.

Change in law

According to the Ministère des Transports (MTQ), which manages radars, the hiring of new police officers and lawyers as well as the implementation of new image processing technologies, following changes to the law in 2018, may explain in part of the observed increase.

The increase in findings has been more marked since the summer of 2019 since the majority of the changes have been implemented.

“This partly explains the increase in the number of tickets issued until 2020,” says Mila Roy, spokesperson for the MTQ.

Fascinating infographics reveal London has 627,707 CCTV cameras, the most of any city outside China

Fascinating infographics have revealed the most surveilled cities in the world where citizens are being watched in their every move.

London has the highest number of cameras outside of China, with an eye-watering 627,707 CCTV monitors set up across the UK’s capital, according to a new study.

The British city is the third most monitored state in the world with 67 cameras per 1000 people always watching every movement – only Shanghai and Beijing in China have more cameras.

Beijing, China’s capital, is the most watched metropolis in the world with 1.15 million cameras as the Communist Party pushes for Big-Brother-style state surveillance. It is closely followed by Shanghai which has one million monitors.

London has the highest number of cameras outside of China, with an eye-watering 627,707 CCTV monitors set up across the UK’s capital, according to a new study

Despite the higher number of cameras in the Chinese cities, London still has more monitors per 1000 people. Beijing has 56 cameras whilst Shanghai has 36 per 1000 people, nearly 50 per cent less than London.

The shocking infographics come at a time when the world’s billionth CCTV surveillance camera is set to be installed this year, which adds up to one camera per every eight people on Earth.

New York City has the highest number and density of CCTV cameras in the entire US, according to the infographics created by Surfshark, a VPN company.

The city has 31,490 cameras, with around 25 installed every square kilometre. In comparison, Los Angeles, the city with the second highest number of cameras in the US, has 22,679 monitors in place.

But Los Angeles has nearly six cameras per 1000 people, which is higher than New York City’s three cameras.

Sydney meanwhile is the most surveilled city in Australia with 60,000 cameras installed across the area watching our daily routines, much higher than the 9,363 cameras installed in Melbourne.

The infographics illustrate just how pervasive surveillance cameras are in the 130 most populous cities across the world.

In China and the US, for example, there is already one camera per 4.1 and 4.6 people, respectively.

London not only has the third highest number of cameras in the world but it also has the highest number of monitors per square kilometre outside of Asia.

For every kilometre you walk across the capital city 399 cameras could have captured your movements. London, with a population of around nine million people, have the fourth highest density of cameras in the world.

Chennai in India has the highest density of cameras in the world, with a staggering 657 monitors capturing its citizens movements for every kilometre they walk. It is followed by Hyderabad, India, with 480 cameras and Harbin in China with 411.

Meanwhile, Beijing, despite having the highest number of cameras in the world, it is ranked tenth for density of the monitors.

But six of the top ten cities with the highest density of CCTV cameras are in China; three are in India.

China has been building a mass surveillance network, which currently boasts about 200 million AI-powered cameras.

The surveillance network has been billed as the world’s most powerful facial-recognition system and aims to identify any one of its 1.4 billion citizens within three seconds.

Critics, however, have voiced concerns over the system, claiming it’s a way for the government to invade citizens’ privacy and restrict their freedom.

Many have also compared it to a dystopian system run by a fictional state leader, Big Brother, in George Orwell’s novel ‘Nineteen Eighty-Four’.

But for people who want a break from the Big Brother-style surveillance and want the best chance of staying in the shadows, they should visit Alexandria in Egypt and Bekasi in West Java, Indonesia.

People in Alexandria are free to roam without the feeling of being watched every step they take as the city only has 122 cameras, with less than one camera per square kilometre.

Meanwhile, those enjoying the sunshine in Bekasi only have to deal with 19 cameras in their city. They would only see one camera – and sometimes none at all – if they travelled one kilometre.

Dom Dimas, Head of Research at SurfShark told MailOnline: ‘The general message of the research on CCTV surveillance around the world is to show the scope of such activities and highlight the implications they might have on people’s privacy.

‘Similarly as tracking people on the internet, often surveillance is cloaked under the promise of maintaining order and public safety.

‘However, its consequences can be far more overreaching and infringe people’s privacy, while the general public have little options to opt out from it.’

A CCTV camera in King’s Cross, London – where police are experimenting with the use of facial recognition technology which critics say is a ‘China-style surveillance tool’

In London, CCTV was first used temporarily during the Queen’s coronation in 1953 and started to be installed permanently in the 1960s.

Since then the city has frequently been a target for terrorists ranging from the IRA in the 1980s and 1990s to more recent attacks by Islamic extremists.

London has also faced the threats of hooliganism at its many sports grounds as well as crime on one of the world’s most extensive public transport networks.

A 2017 report by the Police Foundation said the 1993 murder of James Bulger in Liverpool, who was shown on CCTV being led away from his mother by his two 10-year-old killers, ‘undoubtedly’ fuelled support for more surveillance in the UK.

Before the Bulger killing, CCTV had mostly been used against traffic offenders but the case illustrated how it could be used more widely, the Police Foundation said.

The campaign group Big Brother Watch said last year that the use of live facial recognition was ‘one of the most serious threats to civil liberties of recent years’.

‘This China-style mass surveillance tool risks turning CCTV cameras into biometric checkpoints and citizens into walking ID cards,’ they said.

London transport bosses first experimented with CCTV while building the Victoria Line in the 1960s. From the 1970s onwards, it became a convenient way to phase out train guards on the Underground because drivers could monitor what was happening on CCTV.

The Tube network now has 13,000 cameras of its own, not including 700 on the Docklands Light Railway and 600 on the London Overground. London’s thousands of buses have also been fitted with their own surveillance systems since the 1980s.

How is China building the world’s most powerful facial recognition system?

MAGA rioters destroy television cameras and chase down news crews at the US Capitol

MAGA rioters have turned on the media, destroying television cameras and chasing down news crews trying to report on the ongoing carnage at the US Capitol that has so far left one woman dead.

An angry mob of Donald Trump supporters were caught on camera swarming a media crew set up outside the capitol building and smashing up thousands of dollars worth of equipment on Wednesday.

Journalists and TV crews were forced to abandon the area and flee as the violent thugs wielding sticks pushed over metal barricades and entered the area they had set up in.

The mob roared with cheers as they kicked over lights and cameras, battered the equipment with flags and sticks and poured water over the electrical gear.

Some of the crowd then made a noose from the camera cord and hung it from a tree while one man was seen trying to set fire to equipment as it lay in ruins on the ground.

‘We are the news now,’ shouted one man, according to Buzzfeed reporter Paul McLeod.

Another Trump supporter then congratulated the vandals on their work, who told him it was ‘beautiful’.

‘You’re all patriots! I love all of you,’ he said.

One of the culprits replied: ‘You missed it bud. We bum rushed it all. It was beautiful.’

Separate footage of the incident shared by Julia Rosas on social media showed one man swinging a flag pole at the media crew, while others shouted threats to ‘get out of here’ as the crew quickly backed away.

Some of the equipment that was left destroyed was branded Associated Press while reports on social media said Fox – once Trump’s favorite outlet – had also been targeted.

The attack on the press comes as Trump has repeatedly blasted what he calls the ‘lamestream media’ and called journalists ‘the enemy of the people’.

Even Fox has felt the president’s wrath of late, after the outlet was first to call Arizona for Joe Biden on November 3 – setting off a furious phone call between Trump and media magnate Rupert Murdoch.

While chaos ensued outside the US Capitol Wednesday, it was nothing compared to the unprecedented violence that broke out inside the seat of government.

MAGA supporters stormed inside the building and violently clashed with police in a bid to stop Joe Biden’s victory being certified, causing lawmakers to take cover and flee to an undisclosed location for safety while the building went into lockdown.

One female Trump supporter, identified as US Air Force veteran Ashli Babbit of San Diego, died after being shot in the chest.

It was not immediately clear who shot the woman and an investigation is ongoing.

Dozens of police were also reportedly injured and at least one pipe bomb was found on the grounds.

Several prominent Trump supporters posed for photos at the Senate dais moments after Vice President Mike Pence delivered his rebuke to Donald Trump there while others broke into Nancy Pelosi’s office, with one man later boasting about looting an envelope from the House Speaker’s desk.

President-elect Joe Biden addressed the nation in a speech telling the ‘mob to pull back’ and urging President Donald Trump to tell his fans to stop the violence and leave the Capitol building.

Trump finally gave an address from the White House later in the afternoon telling his ‘very special’ supporters that he loves them and understands their pain but asking them ‘to go home’.

This came just hours after he held a rally where he had encouraged his supporters to march to the Capitol in protest at the certification of Biden’s win and where his personal attorney and the man who spearheaded his failed election legal battle – Rudy Giuliani – told  supporters to pursue a ‘trial by combat’.

The National Guard was deployed to help police enforce a 6pm curfew in Washington DC to stem the violence and the building was briefly secured.

Another lockdown was issued in the evening due to an ‘internal security threat’ after an officer was reportedly found unconscious.

At around 8pm lawmakers flanked by armed guards began arriving back at the Capitol to resume the Joint Session to certify the Electoral College count of the presidential election.

Vice President Mike Pence condemned the violent siege as he reopened the Senate telling the perpetrators ‘violence never wins. Freedom wins. And this is still the people’s house.’

RAS AL KHAIMAH: RAK Transport Authority (RAKTA) has launched the experimental phase of smart monitoring and control systems in transportation, represented by smart surveillance cameras in buses and taxis, smart meters and a smart control centre.

The project covers installation of four smart cameras in taxis, in addition to eight cameras on public transport buses, which aim to enhance and provide the highest levels of security and safety in transportation in Ras Al Khaimah. The cameras work through smart sensors.

The smart meter system, considered one of the latest technologies for taxis, operates with an artificial intelligence system to improve fleet operations. It will also be linked to a smart control centre in which it will view the bus and taxi fleets in real time 24 hours a day, thus enhancing the smart city system.

Eng. Esmaeel Hasan Al Blooshi, general manager of RAKTA, said the aim of these smart systems is to strengthen the security system in Ras Al Khaimah and enhance government directions to shift to smart cities and raise the quality of life for residents.

These systems also provide a solution for the comprehensive management of taxi and bus fleets using the latest artificial intelligence technologies.

Al Blooshi also confirmed that the smart cameras, smart meters and control centre which work with artificial intelligence technologies are considered a source of big data to be analysed in a way that helps decision-makers in improving and developing services and maintaining the safety and security of transportation users by reducing traffic accidents, complaints and lost items.
