Myleene Klass scoffs burrito in bath after becoming first to be booted off DOI

Myleene Klass is enjoying some down time following her shock exit from Dancing On Ice.

The singer turned TV star, 42, and her skating partner Lukasz Rozycki, were both booted from the ITV competition over the weekend, after a tense skate off with Lady Leshurr.

The former Hear’Say star and Lady Leshurr were both in the bottom two from their respective weeks, and they went head-to-head on Sunday’s show.

Judges John Barrowman, Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill, and Christopher Dean gave their verdict and chose who they wanted to keep in the competition, and the four judges all chose Lady Leshurr and her skating partner Brendyn Hadfield.

Despite her sadness about leaving the show so soon, Myleene has revealed that she’s enjoying her time away from the ice.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, she shared a snap of herself enjoying a luxurious bath – complete with a delicious burrito.

“Resting my bones on Doctors orders…with a Burrito in the Bath!!!” she penned before reflecting on her Dancing On Ice stint in the lengthy caption.

Myleene went on: “The first day not on the ice in forever. I wanted to thank the @dancingonice cast and crew.

“The sacrifices made, people living apart from their loved ones, the virtual hugging and support every time one of us hit the ice, the online distanced physio sessions, first aiders by our sides, the catering at a distance.

“The sanitised mic packs left on the side of the rinks, the labelling of everything, glam teams in bubbles, backstage mapped out like a military map, the judges and hosts zigzagging their way to us, even an actual 2m stick to ensure we danced at a distance.

“The miracle isn’t what’s happening on the ice but actually off it! I have a newfound respect for all ice dancers and choreographers. It’s infinitely hard yet infinitely fun.

“A special thank you to MY team in production for getting me to where I need to be, always! Will be cheering you all on till the end, cast and crew, and again, thank you,” she finished off the emotional post.

When she found out she had lost her place in the competition on Sunday night, Myleene said: “I couldn’t have done it without Lukasz, without my family, without my friends watching my videos.

“I had never skated before; I’ve got a skill I learned in lockdown – super handy! When the rinks open again, I will be there.

“I feel really chuffed; this is the most relaxed I’ve been the whole competition.”

Kamala harris officially became America’s first female vice president after swearing to the position before the judge of Puerto Rican origin of the Supreme Court, Sonia Sotomayor.

At about 11:40 a.m., Sotomayor, the first Latina judge in the highest judicial forum in the United States, took the swearing in of Harris.

“I solemnly swear that I will uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will keep a real faith in this same ”, indicated Harris following Sotomayor’s directions.

The former California senator who resigned on Monday was sworn in as vice president shortly before she Joe biden did the same as president, in front of the head of the Supreme Court, the conservative Justice John Roberts.

An unprecedented moment

The moment will go down in history as one without precedent for several reasons.

First, Harris became the first female vice president in American history, in addition to being the first African-American vice president with Asian roots.

On social media, users highlighted Harris’ milestone with posts that included the tag #KamalaHarrisMakingHistory (Kamala Harris making history).

Another outstanding fact of the process is that Sotomayor, from the liberal caucus of the highest forum, is also the first Latina woman of Puerto Rican origin to assume a position as a judge in the Supreme Court.

Sotomayor, born in New York to Puerto Rican parents, became the first Latina magistrate in that court in 2009 after being appointed by the Former African American President Barack Obama.

Currently, Sotomayor is one of the three progressive judges that make up the court.

Sotomayor is, after the death last September of the Judge Ruth Joan Bader Ginsburg, the figure most admired by liberal leaders in the US Judicial Branch.

Healthier 2021: Mark Is Becoming More Flexible

This post appears as part of our Healthier 2021 series, in which we follow three WebMD team members as they strive to improve their health this year. You can follow their journeys here.

By Mark Spoor

Things got real this week, my friends.

When I started my renewal of fitness vows, it was the middle of the holidays. So I could do my workouts whenever I wanted to. If I slept in, lounged around a bit, and didn’t get to my workout until mid-morning, it didn’t really matter.

What’s more, if I, let’s say, needed a little more time for recovery, it was cool. What else was I doing?

Watching more football?

Another true crime marathon?

The Shawshank Redemption for the 987th time?

Well, things sure did change that Monday after the new year. The alarm went off at an ungodly hour, and I had no time to snooze. I had a strictly defined workout window that was closing quickly.

I needed to get my daughter to school. That meant I needed my workout, shower, and all of the pre-going-to-school things I’m responsible for done long before my kid’s opening bell, which is, uh, early.

Then, after my daughter was dropped off, it was back to the house for, ya know, my job.

Trust me, for those first couple of days, it was tough. I couldn’t sacrifice the workout, and the other early-morning stuff was non-negotiable. So, since I’m not a fan of working out at night, I had to adjust to this new, slightly painful new normal.

But I learned something important about myself: I can do it.

At the same time, because I’m clearly a glutton for punishment, I tried to expand my workout repertoire a little bit. The Peloton bike is awesome and I love it, but I felt like I needed to explore some of the other things so that I could get a well-rounded workout. I tried some strength training classes and some other cardio classes. (To my fellow blogger Bill Kimm: Watch out! I’m getting serious about this exercise thing!)

“Becoming a conspirator” at LCN: the conspirators from the inside

In order to better understand the conspiratorial movements in Quebec, journalist Jean Balthazard has integrated a movement to see who makes up it and what he is really looking for. His approach is told in the documentary Become a conspirator, directed by Laurence Mathieu, which will be broadcast this Friday at 9 p.m. on LCN.

• Read also: What is QAnon, this conspiracy movement associated with the Capitol invasion?

As the anti-mask movement and conspiracy theories grew in popularity in Quebec at the start of the pandemic, the idea of understanding how a person can fit into these movements was resounding.

Nothing better than infiltrating this movement to know its contours. Jean Balthazard therefore built a new digital identity and began to subscribe to various anti-mask groups on social networks.

“When you start to like and share links that are associated with conspiratorial groups on social networks, you quickly become overwhelmed and completely bombarded with all kinds of conspiracy theories,” said the journalist in an interview with the QMI Agency. . But there is no typical profile of the person who adheres to it, it can be everyone, young and old, people alone or with family. “

The documentary shows by example that one does not fall into conspiracy theories overnight. “There is a kind of progression, you do not buy into QAnon overnight,” said the reporter.

“But the moment you start to believe in one theory, you are more likely to believe in others afterwards,” he said. I experienced it in the documentary when I drove out to a protest in Ottawa with other people. I can come up just with the idea of not wanting to wear the mask, but for two hours I’m going to be bombarded with various theories. If I don’t have a critical eye or if I won’t validate what has been said, I can believe it and start sharing it with others. It’s a bit of a vicious circle that you fall into when you start to get interested. “

The characteristic of these movements is also violence towards those who do not think like them. If, by revealing his true identity as a journalist, Jean Balthazard expected to receive insults and even threats, Laurence Mathieu experienced this intimidation during the filming.

“People were very aggressive verbally. I was insulted a lot. People didn’t want to talk to me, they weren’t happy that I was there. No one made a physical gesture towards me, but they put their hand on my camera or they came to talk to me close without a mask, while I was wearing one. “

The two don’t think shutting down conspiratorial social media accounts is enough to dampen this move.

“By the time Facebook and YouTube attacked the QAnon movement, it was perhaps already too late,” said the journalist. The great figures of these movements will migrate to other platforms, but I have the impression that in many cases the damage is done. “

John Legere is considering becoming the Un-Candidate

John Legere, former T-Mobile CEO and aspiring Batman, has reacted to the mob that attacked the Capitol like many other political and business leaders by calling for President Donald Trump to step down. But he’s also going a step further by considering a run for political office himself. Legere left his post as CEO and member of T-Mobile’s board after successfully negotiating the merger between the company and Sprint, so he very well could be looking far and wide for his next gig.

Legere’s time as T-Mobile’s CEO turned the company into the “Un-Carrier,” a plan that came with an end to contracts, revamped mobile plans, and a variety of freebies and perks for customers designed to set T-Mobile apart from its longtime rivals AT&T and Verizon. But what would political candidacy — or un-candidacy — look like for Legere?

Well, if it’s anything like his Un-Carrier moves, it could be a mixed bag. Legere was brash and unafraid to roast the competition, and his attitude and leather jackets lean more un-presidential (or Cool) than anything else. But given the last four years we’ve had, we’re probably all used to the unconventional at this point. Tone matters less than not attempting to dissolve democracy, so the bar is low.

In terms of policy, popular proposals like Medicare-for-all fit nicely within the logic of Legere’s Un-Carrier programs. A large part of Un-Carrier’s offering was zero-rating data from certain music and video streaming services so it wouldn’t count against T-Mobile customers’ bills. Why not do the same thing with costly medical expenses?

Of course, this opens up another can of worms. Legere was publicly in support of net neutrality while he was CEO but pushed programs that flaunted it. Those zero-rating schemes, like Binge On and T-Mobile’s other perks, actively favored the services that struck a deal with the company. A healthy internet and a strong Federal Communications Commission might not be at the top of Legere’s priorities.

There’s no telling how serious Legere actually is or if a run would involve him appearing as the heightened version of himself that made him the unofficial mascot of T-Mobile, but there is a precedent. Executives from the wider world of the tech industry, like former HP CEO Meg Whitman, have made attempts to hold a political office, and a businessperson thinking they could fix the country or a state in the same way they juice quarterly revenue is a common theme in modern US politics. I’m not holding my breath for a T-Mobile magenta paint job for the White House or press briefings styled as keynotes, but god it would make a good story.

Justin Bieber denies rumours he’s becoming a Hillsong Church minister

Justin Bieber has swiftly responded to rumours he will become a minister at Hillsong Church.

The pop sensation, 26, was forced to deny articles that claimed an anonymous source alleged that he “wants to be a full-fledged minister next year” alongside making music.

Justin labelled it “fake news” on his Instagram Story.

Justin shared a snapshot, writing: “I’m not studying to be a minister or anything even close to that. Have no desire for that this is fake news.”

Hailey Bieber’s husband clarified his place of worship, adding: “And btw Hillsong is not my church… For clarity I am part of Churchome.

Justin Bieber was forced to deny claims he “wants to be a full-fledged minister next year”

“Church is not a place. We are the church. We don’t need a building to connect with god. God is with us wherever we are.”

The singer’s wedding to Hailey was officiated by Churchome’s Judah Smith, so it holds a special place in his heart.

Justin has previously thanked Hillsong for pulling him out of his most “dark” times.

He shut down the rumours

The star branded it ‘fake news’

He had his own celebrity pastor Carl Lentz, who baptised the pop star and has been a spiritual mentor to Justin over the years.

Carl lost his position as pastor – as he admitted to having an affair, and is currently fixing things with his family – which became a hard time for Justin.

Speaking in his Next Chapter documentary, the singer said: “”It was so consistent; the pain was so consistent. I was just suffering, so, I’m just like, ‘Man, I would rather not feel this than feel this.'”

He set records straight and told fans his church is not Hillsong

“It was so consistent; the pain was so consistent. I was just suffering, so, I’m just like, ‘Man, I would rather not feel this than feel this.'”

Thankfully, the star managed to turn his thinking around and find light in the darkness.

And he also encouraged any of his fans who are feeling suicidal to speak to someone.

He concluded: “I feel so just at peace for the first time in my life… I just would encourage people, like, ‘Hey, if you’re feeling lonely, talk about it. Say it out loud!’ There’s a freedom in that. I could have avoided a lot of pain.”

While almost everyone is excited to finally put 2020 behind them, Rob Kardashian may be the one most excited for 2021 and what lies ahead.

Now that Rob Kardashian has reportedly reached a new custody agreement with his ex, Blac Chyna, according to Us Weekly, he can finally focus on his future. A source close to Dream‘s dad actually told HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY that because of this new development in his life, “Rob has no distractions coming into 2021, and that makes everything so much easier for him to focus on himself.”

So what does that include exactly? Well, our source told us, “When it comes to 2021, Rob is looking to be as healthy as he can be for Dream, but he also wants to invest his time in sports cards. He is very much involved in the market of sports cards and sports memorabilia, and he would love to get more into that and have that be his pastime and make money off it on the resell market. He is still in his Jesus year and the next few months, he is determined to continue to change for the better in work ethic, health and being the best father he can be. They all love Dream so much and they love seeing what a good dad Rob is. He’s so close to his sisters again, he goes to them for advice on Dream all the time and they love to share it. It’s very sweet and none of them are taking it for granted. Rob’s back — he made it through some very dark days, but he’s good again and very excited about 2021. He’s got big plans for his clothing line Halfway Dead next year, too. And he and his mom are doing great with their hot sauce Grandeza — they have plans to grow that in 2021, too.”

It sounds like Rob has a busy year ahead of him, and we can’t wait to see what unfolds for him.

Tisca Chopra: More female actors are becoming brave in their choices, realising they’re not sex toys anymore

There is a lot of talk in the past few years about how things are changing for female actors in Bollywood in terms of roles as well as pay structure. While Tisca Chopra agrees that things are shifting, she feels there’s still a long way to go.

“Certainly a shift is happening. Has it happened? I don’t think it has happened. It is going to happen. We are in the cusp of change. I am seeing a lot more actresses become braver in their choices of role and the choices of having babies. It is like life goes on, you (realize) you are not here as a sex toy anymore and I think that is the conversation that we need to have,” shares Chopra.

Sharing her thoughts about if Bollywood is ageist when it comes to female actors, she says, “I see male actors, too, get worried about effects of gravity.”

Chopra, who has directed and starred in a short film Rubaru, recently which is about an ageing female star, feels that as a society, we are “quite ageist over all.

“In the entertainment industry, you talk to women, we see women and they say woh toh aisa hi hota hain. We are guilty of it ourselves, we need to bring this topic out of the closet and give it a bit of air. We need to start talking about it, confront those issues and overcome it,” the actor explains.

The 47-year-old says while she did take her own experiences as a female actor for the short film, she says it is something that everyone deals with, not just her.

“Gravity kisi ki dost nahi hain. Each one of us has to go through it. There are younger people edging you out . It is everywhere. Everyone fears that and thinks about how one would continue to be relevant. That took me to a whole new direction to understand how we are consuming female actors in India. Are we using them only for their youth and sexuality, is that it? And that started a whole discussion in my head and the script emerged,” she concludes.

Ancelotti explains why he rejected Ferguson’s offer of becoming Man Utd boss

Carlo Ancelotti is hoping Everton’s passionate support can help plot the downfall of the club Sir Alex Ferguson tapped him up to manage.

The Italian knows that resurgent Manchester United present a formidable barrier in his quest to deliver the Blues’ first senior trophy since 1995, to end the longest period without honours in the club’s history.

The Blues boss made clear that the Carabao Cup is glorious opportunity for his club to end their drought. But he also revealed that things could have been very different, had he accepted an offer to manage United when Ferguson retired.

He admitted it was an honour to have been approached to succeed the Old Trafford legend, but had already accepted the job at Real Madrid by that stage.

Ancelotti was approached by Ferguson about succeeding the Scot as United boss

“You want to know from me?!” he said of United’s approach. “I can say that I still keep a fantastic relationship with Sir Alex, and we met when he decided to stop (retire).

“But I was close to Real Madrid, and so I appreciate the fact that at that time he talked to me. And that’s it, no other opportunity (to manage United).”

Things could have been very different for United had serial winner Ancelotti taken charge. Instead, Ferguson identified David Moyes as his successor, which led to an unsettled period of five managers in seven years.

In that time the Italian won seven major honours with Madrid and Bayern Munich, but he insists he has massive respect for United, and sees them as one of the world’s great clubs.

“Yes of course Manchester United is a fantastic club, a fantastic team I battled against them a lot of times when Sir Alex was there, when I was at Chelsea.

“I have a lot of respect for this team, for this club, it is a historical club in the world of football like Milan, like Real Madrid, a lot of respect.”

United are on a roll after their shock exit from the Champions League, with their seven game unbeaten Premier League run making them genuine title contenders.

2000 fans were present as the Toffees beat Arsenal 2-1 last weekend

What is your scoreline prediction for Everton versus Manchester United? Have your say here.

Ancelotti though, is hoping having 2000 fans allowed back into Goodison will inspire his side, and put pressure on opponents he believes present a tough challenge for his side as they attempt to deliver a trophy to their supporters.

“It is really important – we are not able to have noise for six months in every stadium, so the fact that you can listen to 2000 supporters to help you is really good,” he explained.

“The fact in these two games (with fans) we won against strong teams is also for this (reason), because the players are more focused and more concentrate and are more motivated – the supporters have helped us a lot.

“Listen to them, it seems they are more that 2000, it is a totally different environment without them.”

Ancelotti is unfazed by the fact Everton haven’t won a major trophy in 25 years, the longest spell without silverware in the club’s history, and he said: “We have the ambition, it is a great, great motivation for this competition.

“There is not a lot of pressure from the fact that this club dd not win for a long time. It is not an obsession, it is only a motivation. We are close, not so far from the final.”
