Manjot Singh, who has appeared in hit films like ‘Fukrey’, ‘Dream Girl’, has advised the casting directors. Singh says that if I am a bad actor, do not choose me, but do not reject me because of being a Sardar. At the same time, the actor made it clear that he would never cut his hair to get the role. Manjot made his Bollywood debut in 2008 with ‘Oye Lucky Lucky Oye’. He won the Filmfare Critics Award for this film.
In an interview to IANS, Singh said, “I am a Sardar and wears a turban and in the industry we get a call only when the Sardar is needed in the story.” Suppose when you write the story of two friends, among them Tamil, Gujarati and Sardar can also be, for this you do not need to make the film in Delhi or Punjab. He said, I am a common man and actor and you have no need to present me in the same worn-out manner.

Talking about the haircut, Singh said, I can never think of removing the turban and getting a haircut. If I cannot respect my religion, then I should not expect anyone to get this honor. He said that if a Sardar comes to the industry with a haircut, it is his choice. Just because I am not getting rolls, I will not get my hair cut, I will not change what I am from birth.
