EastEnders’ Gillian Taylforth seen for first time after her ex-fiancé was shot

Gillian Taylforth has been spied for the first time since her ex-fiancé was gunned down.
In July, it come to light the EastEnders star’s ex Dave Fairbairn only survived a shot to the stomach because the gun was “misfired” in the shooting.
The actress, who played Kathy Beale on the soap, has been keeping a low profile in recent months.
For the first time in months, she was spotted in the passenger seat of a car on a drive around Hertfordshire after the incident unfolded in early July.
Gillian, 65, channelled movie icon Grace Kelly as she donned a colourful floral headscarf and sunglasses.
In July, her former flame was gunned down after he reportedly crossed paths with gangsters who had threatened to set fire to the home belonging to the actress.
Gillian was said to be in shock after Dave was shot at close range in a woodlands near Enfield, in North London.
Bullets narrowly missed his internal organs.
At the time, he was on police bail over an alleged cannabis factory at his home.
His pals said the 64-year-old’s only intention was to protect his ex and his family from more threats.
A source told The Sun : “There have been people warning Dave they’ll go after Gillian and burn down her home to get to him.
“Dave wanted it sorted out at a meeting on Sunday evening.
“There were raised voices, an argument and then the gun went off. He’s been a very lucky boy.”
Gillian and Dave were due to get married in December last year.
Despite cooling off the relationship, the duo remained friendly with each other.
Initially they split in 2017 but the couple decided to give their love a second go.
However, later it wasn’t meant to be.
Dave previously spent seven years in jail for a drugs conviction.
