Bihar Elections: Aishwarya to contest against HUSABND Tej Pratap from Mahua Assembly seat
A day after Chandrika Rai formally joined RJD’s political opponent Janata Dal-United, speculations are rife that his daughter Aishwarya is likely to contest elections against her husband and elder son of Lalu Prasad Yadav, Tej Pratap from Mahua assembly seat.
Election at Mahua Assembly seat in Bihar is likely to become a battleground for families of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his former close aide Chandrika Rai.
A day after Chandrika Rai formally joined RJD’s political opponent Janata Dal-United, speculations are rife that his daughter Aishwarya is likely to contest elections against her estranged husband and elder son of Lalu Prasad Yadav, Tej Pratap from Mahua assembly seat.
Chandrika Rai had also hinted about Aishwarya contesting against Tej Pratap while addressing media on Thursday.
Tej Pratap is the current MLA from Mahua. It is being speculated that the JDU will seek to capitalise on the way the Yadav family treated Aishwarya in the last few months.

Tej Pratap Yadav and Aishwarya were married in 2018, but only after six months of marriage, Tej Pratap filed for divorce.
Soon after, several reports emerged suggesting that the Yadav family had kicked Aishwarya out of the house.
Upset over Yadav family’s behaviour towards his daughter, Chandrika Rai quit RJD in February. On Thursday, he joined Janata Dal-United.
While it is almost certain that the JDU will field Chandrika Rai from his stronghold Parsa, his daughter Aishwarya’s possible political debut and future remain a mystery.
