Vivo V19 and V19 Pro will be the successors to the V17 series launched last year. The two new phones are expected to be launched in India ahead of IPL 2020.
Chinese phone maker Vivo has long been rumoured to be working on a new phone, the Vivo V19. And now we have information which all but confirms the phone’s existence.
According to a new report published by 91Mobiles, the Vivo V19 series will go on pre-booking in India later in the month. The series will include two phones, the Vivo V19 and Vivo V19 Pro which are said to debut in the country in March. The launch of the two phones appears to have been planned to just come ahead of the new season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 that is scheduled for March 23.
While there is no official word yet, the Vivo V19 is likely to be the successor to the Vivo V17, with the Vivo V19 Pro coming in as an upgrade to the Vivo V17 Pro. To remind our readers, the V17 and V17 Pro were among the most popular phones from Vivo last year. And as such, there are a lot of hopes riding on their successors.
The new Vivo phones could be priced between Rs. 20,000-30,000 price segment, claims the report. The report says the devices will be available through online and authorised brick-and-mortar retail stores in the country.
Apart from this, there’s little else that’s known about the two phones. However, the Vivo V19 Pro is expected to be a definite upgrade on the V17 Pro.
The Vivo V17 Pro came packed with a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, five camera in total – four on the back and single on the front, 4100mAh battery with 18W fast charging support and FunTouch 9 OS based on Android 9 Pie.
