Kawasaki has launched the new Ninja 650 BS6 in India for a starting price of Rs 6.24 lakh (ex-showroom). Kawasaki Ninja 650 BS6 comes at a premium of nearly Rs 35,000 over its BS4 counterpart. Apart from an updated engine, the 2020 Ninja 650 gets a host of fresh features. The 2020 Kawasaki Ninja 650 BS6 is available in Lime Green Ebony and Pearl Flat Stardust White colour options.
Powering the new Kawasaki Ninja 650 BS6 is a 649cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, parallel twin, FI (fuel injection) engine that develops 68PS and 64Nm of peak torque. The motor of the 2020 Ninja 650 BS6 has now been equipped with fresh airbox and exhaust system to make it BS6-compliant. The mill is paired to a 6-speed transmission.

The 2020 Kawasaki Ninja 650 BS6 sits on a high-tensile steel trellis frame. Taking care of the suspension duties are telescopic forks at the front with 125mm wheel travel and a monoshock at the rear with 130mm wheel travel. The Ninja 650 BS6 comes with new 17-inch Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tyres. The front has 300mm dual semi-floating petal discs, while the rear gets a 220mm single petal disc.
The front of the new Kawasaki Ninja 650 BS6 has been redesigned, giving it a more aggressive look, and reminds us of the one we now see in the Ninja 400 or the Versys 1000. The headlight has a twin LED setup. The windshield, which has been refurbished, is now lower and flush-fit with the upper cowl. The 2020 Ninja 650 features a new coloured digital TFT instrument panel, with built-in Bluetooth technology. The pillion seat has been redesigned and is wider than before
