Anantnag, Kashmir : Scared of Corona, two CRPF officers commit suicide by shooting self
Srinagar. On Tuesday 12 May in the Kashmir Valley, two CRPF Inspector rank officers committed suicide by shooting from their own service rifles.
The first suicide case is from Anantnag. Sub-Inspector Fateh Khan, resident of Jaisalmer Rajasthan, posted by CRPF’s 96th Battalion at Mattan in Anantnag district, shot himself with his own service rifle. He has also left a suicide note which says that I am afraid of being corona, so I am dying. In the second case, an Assistant Sub-Inspector posted with the 49th battalion of CRPF in Srinagar also committed suicide by shooting from his own service rifle.

Confirming both the incidents, CRPF Special Director General Zulfiqar Hussain said that two soldiers committed suicide on Tuesday morning in Kashmir. He said that we are trying to find out the reasons behind the suicide, why these soldiers took such a big step. Police have started investigation by registering both the cases.
