TVS Motor, Tata Power To Set Up Electric Two-Wheeler Charging Infrastructure
TVS Motor announced that it has entered into a partnership with Tata Power to create an electric two-wheeler charging infrastructure in the country.
New Delhi: TVS Motor Company on Tuesday announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with Tata Power to create an electric two-wheeler charging infrastructure in the country. As a part of the pact, the two companies have agreed to drive the comprehensive implementation of electric charging stations across India and deploy solar power technologies at TVS Motor locations.
TVS said that the agreement will give the customers of iQube Electric access to the widespread charging network through its customer connect app and Tata Power EZ Charge app across India.
The partnership aims to create a regular AC charging network and a DC fast-charging network for electric two-wheelers. It will further help drive EV adoption in the country among two-wheeler customers, the automaker added.
TVS further mentioned that expanding technologies in solar energy will play a vital role in the shift towards clean energy adoption.

TVS Motor’s partnership with Tata Power is in line with its commitment to expand the presence of iQube Electric.
The iQube is priced at ₹ 1,00,777 in Delhi and at ₹ 1,10,506 in Bengaluru. The electric sccoter goes up against the likes of Ather 450X and the Bajaj Chetak.
The e-scooter comes with a 4.4 kW (6 bhp) electric motor and the top speed is around 78 kmph, in ‘Sport’ mode. The battery can be fully charged in around 5 hours, and maximum range is claimed at 75 km on a single charge in ‘Economy’ mode. In ‘Sport’ mode, range is claimed at 55 km.
TVS iQube comes with Bluetooth enabled digital instrument console with the company’s SmartXonnect technology.
