Indian pilgrims will be able to go to Umrah from today: After 18 months, the Saudi government removed the ban, 20 lakh vaccinated people would get permission every month

From today, Umrah is starting in Saudi Arabia for the pilgrims (pilgrants) from all over the world. People from all countries of the world including India will now be able to go to Saudi Arabia for Umrah. The government there has abolished the travel ban imposed on the people of all countries after 18 months. 2 million i.e. 20 lakh vaccinated pilgrims will get permission for Umrah every month.

In view of the increasing cases of corona infection, the Saudi government has issued orders to India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Egypt, Turkey, Argentina, Brazil, South Africa, UAE, Germany, America, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, UK, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Japan and A travel ban was imposed on Lebanese citizens on 3 February. After this the ban was lifted on 11 countries, but the ban continued on 9 countries including India, Pakistan. The Saudi government has now abolished it as well.

Quarantine can be done for 14 days. The Saudi government has started accepting requests from abroad. However, the Saudi government has put a condition for this. According to the condition, Umrah will be allowed only to those foreign nationals who have got their vaccination done. They will also have to produce a vaccination certificate while registering for Umrah. However, people who have been vaccinated can also be quarantined for 14 days if needed.

The Saudi government used to earn 89 thousand crores, the Saudi government has taken the decision to increase the scope of Umrah after the successful Hajj operations recently. Only 60 thousand people were allowed to participate in it. Before the corona infection, Saudi Arabia used to earn $ 12 billion (about 89 thousand crores) every year from pilgrims coming from all over the world. So far 5 lakh 32 thousand cases of corona have come in Saudi Arabia and 8,300 people have died.

These rules have to be followed:

  1. Zaireen is required to get vaccines from Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson.
  2. Those taking the Chinese vaccine will have to get a booster shot of any of these 4 vaccines.
  3. A person below the age of 18 will not be granted a visa for Umrah.

If needed, the pilgrims can be quarantined for 14 days.

Majma is considered for Umrah, although people in Saudi Arabia go on Umrah (religious visit to Saudi Arabia) throughout the year. For a period of 14 days to a month, most people reach Saudi Arabia in the month of Ramadan.
