Good News for LPG Customers: Now customers will be able to get gas refilled from any distributor, pilot project will start in 5 cities including Chandigarh and Ranchi

Domestic gas customers will soon be able to get gas refilled from their preferred distributor. That is, if you have an Indane gas connection, then you will be able to get the empty cylinder refilled from the distributor of Bharat Gas.

The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas will soon launch this scheme as a pilot project in Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Gurgaon, Pune and Ranchi. After the success of the scheme in these cities, it will be implemented in other cities of the country as well.

The option will be available on the mobile app or customer portal Customers will get this option while booking LPG refill through the mobile app or customer portal. It will also show the ratings of the distributors. Customers will be able to choose any distributor in their area to take delivery of LPG refills.

Without address proof cylinder making rules apply also to the country’s state-owned oil company Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) the address proof recently without applied policy on LPG cylinders. Earlier it was very difficult to get a new connection without address proof, but now with this rule of the government, any customer can take a new connection without address proof.
