Since meeting Madden, Diaz called time on her Hollywood career. The star of My Best Friend’s Wedding and There’s Something About Mary hasn’t made a movie since 2014’s Annie.
Back In February, Diaz made an appearance on SiriusXM’s Quarantined with Bruce radio show and explained she ‘couldn’t imagine’ leaving her daughter to return to a movie set.
She said motherhood and marriage ‘have been most fulfilling part of my life so far. It’s just like so important. I just feel like it’s, it’s everything that, you know.’
She added: ‘I just feel so blessed that I get to be here now with my child and, you know, get to be the mother that I get to be. It’s such a blessing, it’s completely privileged and I’m just really, really grateful.’
