Nick Jonas ‘rushed to hospital with mystery injury’ while filming secret project
Nick Jonas has reportedly been injured and rushed to hospital while filming a secret new project.
The pop star and judge on the US version of The Voice, 28, is said to have been hurt on Saturday night during an undisclosed incident. He is thought to have been hurt seriously enough to need to be taken in an ambulance for emergency treatment.
But according to TMZ, Nick is now recovering at home.
It is hoped that Nick will be well enough to carry on appearing on NBC hit show The Voice which films on Monday nights.
Nick is also due to host the 2021 Billboard Music Awards which will air live on Sunday (May 23). Last year, he and his band, the Jonas Brothers, won three Billboard Music Awards for as top duo/group, top radio songs artist and top radio song for Sucker, their first No 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. They were also nominated for top artist.
Nick has already joked that he’s about to win another award, before the ceremony has even begun. He predicted he’ll win the fake category of Best Host, posting a funny video on Instagram for his 30.4m followers of him finding out the good news.
In the clip, Nick holds the award to his ear as if it’s a phone and says, “It’s unbelievable. We did it!” and wrote: “Truly an honour to have already received the first preemptive 2021 #BBMAs award. “
Although this will be his first time hosting alone, Nick has experience of presenting before. Earlier this year, he teamed up with his wife, Priyanka Chopra, to announce the nominations for the Academy Awards.
Priyanka, 38, is no stranger to these glitzy ceremonies. The former Miss World and actress has won many awards herself for her appearances in Bollywood cinema.
