Entrepreneur and TV host, Martha Stewart, will launch a new line of dog treats that contain CBD, which is a non-psychoactive compound of cannabis. These Martha Stewart CBD for Pet products include chewy snacks and oil drops in three different formulas with flavors like chicken and cranberry.

Chews are priced from $ 20 to $ 25 depending on the size of the dog. The oil sells for $ 40 for a 600 mg bottle.

To launch its CBD dog products, Stewart partnered with Canopy Growth, the Canadian cannabis company backed by the American alcohol company Constellation Brands.

“Just as CBD can support human well-being, it has also been shown to improve the quality of life for pets,” Stewart said when introducing his products, according to CNN.

It should be noted that the purchase and adoption of pets has exploded during the pandemic, as millions of people who work from home sought to have a companion animal.

Martha Stewart joins a long list of celebrities who have CBD products, like Whoopi Goldberg and Willie Nelson.

The CBD pet product market was estimated at approximately $ 426 million in 2020, and expected to exceed $ 1 billion by 2024.
